Re: Any experts/experienced on Fabfilter Pro L2 here?
You can use two different versions of L2 on the master track, and just mute the one you’re not using. IE one punchy one, and one Safe one. One of the keys to a loud master is a good mix down too I’m afraid. It’s much harder to get busy mixes with lots of things happening at once loud, versus songs ...

Any experts/experienced on Fabfilter Pro L2 here?
Hi! I'm struggling a bit with Fabfilter Pro L2 here. I have made a song that's sounds pretty okay regarding the mix. It's now around -6dB and I want to use Fabfilter Pro L2 for the mastering. I have seen some tutorials but I still have some problems with getting the mix right. English is not my main...

Re: Make synths more mono without sounding flat?
So yeah, those phase tricks are evil, they're designed to make you go "Wow that plugin sounds amazing!" on your studio monitors or headphones but they don't work in the real world. Find that setting in your synths and turn it off. If you can't turn it off, just use one side as a mono trac...

Re: Make synths more mono without sounding flat?
Have you tried Ableton's built-in Stereo Panner? It works great for panning Stereo tracks. I don't think I have. Is that the one where you right click and press "select split stereo pan mode"? I just googled that now :D What is the most common way to solve this among professional artist? ...

Make synths more mono without sounding flat?
Hi, I recently discovered that my mixes sucks in mono (yay!). The beats and bass are not too bad, but the synths usually get really low. When I turn up the volume and switch back to stereo, they get way too high. Any tips here? For the most part I use synths from Serum, Massive and Spire. I tweak a ...

Re: Sound design: A good tool/effect to change up the sounds?
Sorry, but this question is way too broad imo. How to change up a sound? Turn a knob; play harder/softer; use effect X etc... I understand that well, lol  Maybe some kind of filter is a better word. Because sometimes my synth contains different synths playing the same melody, and I would like ...

Sound design: A good tool/effect to change up the sounds?
Hi! Maybe a vague question, but are there any tools/effects that can change the sound on for example a synth in Ableton? I know there are many effects of course, I just want some inspiration and tips from other users. Because sometimes it's hard to know what to look for. Say you have a pretty standa...

Any presets recommendations for Serum, Massive etc?
Hi! I'm trying to find some new cool presets for Serum, , Spire-1, Massive etc. to get a little inspired. I have checked out Splice now, and even if there's a lot to choose from there, I found many of the presets to sound a little outdated with the same saws etc. So I'm wondering if anybody has some...

Getting a good mono mix – any tips?
Hi! I was starting to get quite happy with my latest mix, until I listened to the song on mono. The bass og beat still sound decent, but the leads are getting a much lower volume. Are there any good tips on how to deal with this? My 2 different lead synths consists of 3 combining sounds from Spire a...

Re: A question about using Utility as a volume fader
If you make an Audio Device Rack, it can have multiple channels inside if as parallel processing. If you have just a single one, you still get a simple mixer, as in volume control. And that one goes down to -inf I will try to look into an Audio Device Rack (haven't tried that before). Thank you for...

A question about using Utility as a volume fader
Hello! I got advised to use the Utility as a volume fader, and so far I like it. Because if I want to turn the volume a bit up/down on an instrument, I don't have to worry about the automations I made here and there because that's on the Utility now. But I noticed that this doesn't work perfect. Bec...

Any tips on good instrument packages?
I use Serum, Massive, Spire and Synthmaster1. I like many of the sound the have, but some of them sound a little outdated now. So I wonder if anybody has some tips on some cool and "fresh" sound packages for EDM music? I see a lot of ads for this on Instagram etc. but it's so many that it'...

Re: please help. I think I have lost my all my work
I'm sure it can be recovered. If not by you, by a professional at least. But don't use your computer too much in the meantime, because every new save/overwrite will make it more difficult. My Mac disk got broken last year, but with professional help I got all my Project files back. My sound library ...
