Re: Best Controller?
Launchpad is awesome as a clip launcher. In terms of using it to mix though, it's quite challenging. Clips are on one preset, volume controls on another, and stop/start/solo on another. So it's almost next to impossible to map efficiently to play live since your always switching between pages. This ...

Re: Best Controller?
Completely depends on what your after... I'm currently using a Launchpad + SL25mkii + UC-33e. Your never going to find a single controller that does everything exactly the way you want it. Even with the equipment I have now, I still feel a bit limited at times and your mappings need to be spot on. A...

Re: Anyway to disable the "blue hand" (auto-assign )?
^^^ I still want to be able to use the controllers though. I just want them to be used excursively by midi assignments I've mapped, not have live auto-assign controls to my controllers just because a rack is "selected". I found a quick workaround in the meantime, just grab a blank effect r...

Anyway to disable the "blue hand" (auto-assign )?
Random question.... I'm in the process of remapping my controllers (launchpad, slmkii, uc-33e) for playing live, and I'm getting quite frustrated with the auto-assigning of controls to whichever rack is active at the time. I usually love this feature when I'm producing, its really convenient. But fo...

Re: Question regarding sends......
I'm really liking the logic behind this right now, access to multiple "volume" faders that can be mapped, could be exactly what I'm afterTone Deft wrote:ANOTHER way to do it is to send the outputs of those three tracks to a new audio track. then put the rack in the new audio track.

Re: Question regarding sends......
^^^^ Thanks for the heads up again. I see what your saying, tons of ways to go about things, but each has it's own pros and cons. If I was just using say 2 channels of clips/tracks I'd have things figured out reasonably quickly I think. It's the 4/5/6/ track mappings/programmings that are throwing m...

Re: Question regarding sends......
okay little follow up here..... Everything's working as it should...yay! Now I have a follow up question regarding mapping. It seems so make sense to me that the send dry/wet should in this case also be mapped to the clip volume slider. So that with the send is set to pre, as I increase the dry/wet,...

Question regarding sends......
Hey guys... This probably seems really elementary and I feel like a bit of a knob for asking :? , but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer anywhere.... My question concerns using sends for effects. I have a bunch of tracks/clips in 4 audio/midi channels. I then have 3 different sends. Her...

Help! Arrangement View Question......clips dissapeared?
Hey Guys, Looking for a little help if possible. I'm semi-new to using ableton and have been really loving the program and have been learning quite a bit since becoming hooked. However, I've run into a bit of a snag. I did a search but couldn't find any answers, so hopefully one of you more seasoned...
