Grid Specific Tracks
I'd like to apply grid settings to a track. Multiple tracks with different grids would be a god send for visual composition. Musicians could work off of predefined grids (free grid, 1/64, 1/32, 1/16) etc... also a more robust grid could be really helpful (i.e. being able to enter in a custom grid 1/...

Ableton 9 Color Coding
I wish the color pallets were expanded, but also reorganized. It's very helpful to color code a set, or phrases of a bass line for example, in a progression of colors. It's a UI change that's minimal, but could dramatically improve the color coding process. All the blues from dark to light, all reds...

Any Glaring Issues with Lion Remaining?
I'd be sad if my Adobe programs had as many issues as they supposedly have in Lion... but would be devastated if Live did - just wondering if anyone could share their experiences with Live and Lion as well as any experiences with their VST's or any other environments you use live in that may have an...

This was for a composition contest. Instead of taking off it rushes by and dies to nothing.

Wacom Support for Ableton Live
Just wondering if anyone else uses a wacom for their design work? I use and love Live for many reasons, but compositionally I believe it's lightyears ahead of the curve compared to other DAW's. One of the things that attributes to this is Lives ability to compose through color. I find that using a W...

Re: My first track ever. Looking for advice. RHCP dance remix
Hey man, just a quick word of advice - when you hear things more than 2 times in a row, general listeners will recognize it as a loop, and then the brain becomes bored. The bass lick in the first half is fun (and signature of rhcp), so even if you did alter it a bit / add in the backing drums, I'd r...

Driving - Live improv on the APC40
Hey Guys - thought I would share a performance with you. This piece is called 'Driving'. Layers of sound design fill the space while I launch some vocal samples from one of my favorite movies, Synecdoche followed by a dirty quartet lead with crashes of glass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0y9EcGyu8s
