Re: Ableton live 10 bug??
Yeah, that "A" thing can get a bit confusing - always make sure the keyboard button on the top right isn't highlighted, too - that will stop A from working (as it turns your computer keyboard into a midi keyboard).

Re: 10 Meter USB Cable for Midi and Audio Interface
Yeah, you should be good, mate.
I think that usually the longer the cable, the more susceptible it is to break. No matter what length you get, the chances are that it will need to be replaced at some point anyway - I reckon go for it.

Re: White noise after exportation.
So, there is no white noise before you export out of Ableton?
Are you using a demo of any sort of plugins (sometimes those will throw in white noise upon export/playback until you purchase)?

Re: Live 10 and UAD Plugins - Bug
Very interesting. I haven't noticed anything (Apollo X4, 16" MBP) but I'll definitely look. I use both Live and Logic and I haven't picked up on any differences. How odd. I will say, the UAD/Apollo side of things can be a little mystifying at times - I'll check this out later and report back.

Re: A legal question about sampling a rap song (acapella)
Yeah - although the artist might not mind, it’s all about the label.

Re: Playback distortion over time
I don't suppose the output audio is being pumped back into any tracks (check your audio inputs as you play the track through)? Although - that usually creates a mess right off the bat instead of gradually over time. Anything odd going on with effect feedback? For example, you could have a delay goin...

Re: A legal question about sampling a rap song (acapella)
Hi! I'm playing around with an acapella rap track that I have put my own music on. The acapella track is an official track that I bought on iTunes, so I guess the rapper won't mind. But how strict are the laws regarding putting out a song on SoundCloud or YouTube? There are many songs like this out...

Re: what is an 1176-type compressor called in native efx ?
Gotcha mate. As far as I know, the Glue compressor is the only emulation (SSL). Unless I’m wrong (likely), I don’t think Compressor works like the 1176 or the LA 2A. I want to say the old Live 8 compressor allowed you to switch between a couple of modes, but I think they were just emulation FET or o...

Re: New 2 Live: How Did You Learn?
Yup, what this guy said ^^^
Live is overwhelming as you know - it's a very deep program...and there is always something to learn.
Google/YouTube will help you a lot...as long as you know what you're looking for. Experiment, try to do stuff...and when you can't, search for it. Or come here!

Re: Connecting Macbook Pro + DJM 900 SRT to Monitors
Yup, mixer is certainly the easiest! Or, you could grab an audio interface which has multiple inputs. I've got a Scarlett 18i20 (which I LOVE) which is hooked up to my MBP, my Pioneer Whateveritscalled, my Xbox and a synth or two. (If you run out of inputs, you can hook the 18i20 up to another audio...

Re: Upgrade to Suite, get 11 for free?
Hmmm, not sure. Upgrade and purchase might be different. Copied and pasted from Ableton's FAQs: If you purchase Live 10 or pre-order Live 11 during the discount campaig n, your Live 11 license will be automatically registered to your account once the new version is out. You will then be able to down...

Re: RX Elements Izotope not working in Ableton :(
Hey mate,
Can you open RX Editor in stand-alone mode? RX should also be its own separate program that you can import samples into and then process.
