Re: Help my new iOS Ear Training App make a Surge on the charts!
If you enter a series of notes that you intend to sing, step through them, and check your pitch when you are unsure, you are working on your inner ear. The testing comes from singing and then playing. The definition of ear training that you seem to be working from is completely centered on recogniti...

About the new note in Documentation: LiveAPI Object
Technical note: you cannot use the LiveAPI object in JavaScript global code. Use the live.thisdevice object to determine when your Max Device has completely loaded (the object sends a bang from its left outlet when the Device is fully initialized, including the Live API). does this 'only' mean that...

Re: Padkontrol as control surface means midi channel wonkiness?
So, here is the thing. each pad is transmitting on 10. it IS transmitting on 10. right now. the TRACK RECEIVES ON CHANNEL ONE. this happens when i use the padkontrol as a control surface so that the pads map 'automatically' to drum rack.

Help my new iOS Ear Training App make a Surge on the charts!
Hey all, Apologies for what is, basically, spam. The long and short of it is that I have planned a little rally on the app store for this weekend. The app will be a dollar, It is an ear training app, so maybe some folk here might even dig it. The app did pretty well in the first month and terribly t...

Padkontrol as control surface means midi channel wonkiness?
The long and short of it is that the pads are set to send on midi channel 10 but come in as midi channel 1. not the biggest deal, except i want to have different behavior based on midi channel.

Would like a bit of help with drum racks.
Hello all, I can't seem to figure out the correct configuration of instruments to get what i want here. I want a rack for a drums. 8 sounds mapped twice on a padkontrol. (this part is cake) I want to use 8 faders/knobs/whatever to scroll through sounds for the individual slots. I am with preparing t...

Re: search for clip by name in session view
Someone did something like this for track names, but it is the same idea. Iterate through all of the track and scene combinations requesting the name and stop when you find the right one. Helps if you know what track or scene it is on. The tutorials in max are the best starting place and it should b...

Re: What exactly can M4L do that's so cool?
a better question would be what do you want to do? At the end of the day, Live and M4L are tools. The best way I can think of to explain it right now is that M4L doesn't even need to be used to make anything new. I didn't like the logic of Live's chord effect, so i made one. I want to make a looper ...
