I picked this up as well.. got some really nice results when testing on some breaks.. was able to get them sounding nice and crunchy really fast...

use the 909 drum racks that come with live... thats a good starting point if you are after that early techno sound.

big fan of waveeditor here as well..

One thing that is really nice is when integrating it with live, you can edit a sample save it in wave editor and then it will be updated in live..

this didnt work nicely in audacity or dsp quattro.

Just switched to chrome... the speed is delightful

I mix much quieter than 0dbfs.... therefore no limiting needed....

one really small thing though, anyone else get the feeling that their ears are eating themselves on one of the ealier tracks...
I think it is related to some really hifreq stuff > 14.5 khz

I am very happy with the Tubefire.. I have midi coming out of my MicroKontrol so dont need another interface. I also like its simplicity, no messing around with routing using a separate app. (of course this makes it less flexiable than some others, but I dont need it to be any more complex.. ) Works...
