Re: LAUNCHPAD - moving the red box with the mouse
sorry, fairly sure you can't do that at the moment. Perhaps if Ableton add it in an update. As I understand it the nav square is part of the API and stems from the user configuration script for the Launchpad (or APC), and so it's probably only going to be controlled by that. I'm not even sure if you...

Re: New Remote Script for Novation Nocturn and Live 8
Opened the [hi] help in m4l - did not show any devices, including keyboard, so I'm probably misunderstanding something there. On looking at the [hi] max tutorial it states: The HID (Human Interface Device) protocol allows a physical controller to connect to a computer without device-specific drivers...

Re: New Remote Script for Novation Nocturn and Live 8
can't test since I haven't got Max here, but I don't think the Nocturn will show up as a serial or hid device - does the launchpad, or does it's midi make it unnecessary? (sorry that's not a definite answer - [hi] won't work in m4l will it?) Related - are there Max devices to deal with usb-connected...

Trigger Finger pressure sensitive pads - question
heard this thing has pressure sensitive pads, so: - does it send out a constantly changing stream of velocity or other midi cc data as you increase and decrease pressure? - does it do so independently for each pad (like polyphonic aftertouch), or does it have ony enough brain to do so for one pad at...

Re: Max 4 Live Coming Out on November
Ableton do make things very easy to learn as well (and C74's help has always been on of the great things in Max/MSP) - I'm looking forward to the tutorials and included patches. I was a bit sorry that Reaktor always seemed to have a more centralised hub for sharing patches - but we know what Ableton...

Re: Clubs/venues in your city, smoke free (smoking banned)?
a lot of smaller nights I've been to have been hurt a bit by it, because where once 200 people would fill a place and provide plenty of atmosphere, half of them are now stood outside smoking. I think I preferred being able to talk to my friends all night, rather than them having to disappear every s...
