The remote automap is great, but the mackie control offers much more contol. With Automap you can control track volumes and plugin parameters, as well as mute and record-arm, but with mackie control you also get scrubbing, solo tracks, you get a time display on the lcd, but the best part is alot of ...

Should i apply stereo widening on my bassline?
What do you all think? I was listening to some electro tracks in headphones and noticed heavy stereo widening on the basslines... but isnt this a bad idea? Wont this make the bass lose its punch? And arent club sound systems mono, cancelling the effect of any stereo processing?
Im confused.

Yeahh but the problem is, at least in the old EQ that when you turn up the q you get a boost in the low freq right before the slope. For surgical cutting of the low end you will have to go with an EQ that gives you control of the slope like the sonalksis eq, my favorite. It has a dedicated band to c...

The controller absolutely rocks. The synth is so awesome, and its so much funner to actually touch it that to fiddle with a plugin with a mouse. I do have the track armed, its just the patch cables that dont work. Everything works fine in standalone mode, just not as a plugin. Knobs and keys work gr...
