Rolling of freqs below 20hz?

Does anyone have an opinion on this? Im learning mastering and ive read that this is a good idea to eliminate low freq rumble, but im thinking on bass-heavy house music is this maybe not such a good idea? I know this range is not audible but is this low freq felt instead of heard? Thanks for the inp...

Of course, if I knew how to use multiband compression better, that might have helped. Multiband compression is completely over-rated...it's only necessary on stuff that has a lot of dynamics at multiple frequencies...how many sound sources do you know that do that? Perhaps an acoustic bass, perhaps...

Makes sense.... however i did add just a touch to the track and i think it makes it sound a bit fuller- but this was after about two hours of mixing so i think ill go and listen again, especially to the low end.

Thanks for the replies :D

Mastering Reverb?

Hi everyone, Im mastering some tracks in Ozone and learning mastering as i go. Does anyone have an opinion on the mastering reverb? I wonder if this is more something added to acoustic or rock music than electronic dance music, which is what im doing. Your supposed to add just a touch to add a sheen...

Sorry mate im a little flabberghasted. So it works fine the first couble of times you switch back and forth but on the third change back to bank 1 it looses its pickup? Only thing i can think of is to make sure on your midi prefs you have the uc33 selected with the right midi in/outs with none of th...

Also with 32 faders the only inconvenience is matching the faders at the beginning of your session, which would take less than a minute. So you may be paying lots of cash for a few minutes of convenience every day.

No prob. Thats alot of faders! My opinion is save your cash on the motor faders and buy a real analog synth. Get a Dave Smith Poly Evolver so i can be jealous of you. If you have live6 you can go to the midi prefs and turn on pick-up mode. The idea is you open your project, then you would only have ...

Yeah, you can get a BCF-2000 that gives you 8 motorized faders and 8 rotary knobs plus a bunch of buttons for about 150.00, and a BCR-2000 that gives you 32 rotary knobs for about 120.00, so for under 300.00 you could have a midi control bonanza the likes of which mackie never dreamed of. Well at le...

CD Duplication advice

Has anyone had any good experiences getting CDs pressed or duplicated? Bad experiences or recomondations for online CD duplication are also welcome.

Thanks in advance
