can't phase out with utility!?!?

what the hell this is kind of mind boggling...... up until now I've been using the magic send in a rack with no problems flawlessly... but today I ran into a problem.... I have an external box(electribe emx if you're wondering) which I'm using for basslines now and it can't be phased out... all neut...

software wise if you're on vista, go back to xp... or suffer until a service pack comes out... vista has nothing but issues in it I've testested it extensively in every aspect towards audio and my final statement is that it's not worth it.... xp at the moment is best choice.... disable themes, disab...

well actually if you tweak with vst's and sometimes get crashes, or close sets too fast ableton will save a "crash" copy, and at least for me I have an automatic regular back up ;) lol C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Ableton\Live 6.0.1\Preferences\Crash but yea it ...

10 sec is the maximum length on impulse.... there is no way to sync it really unless you tune out the tlme parameter which if you have to stretch will add warping type side effects.... what people actually don't realise is that ableton itself is a very good sampler(not any of the devices, the sessio...

what I was saying is I've seen way too many gigs where the abletonian dj has two tracks loaded with prewarped mp3's and uses either an external mixer or a cheap ass midi controller for mixing.... So? What's wrong with that? It's just DJing... playing somebody else's music. AFAIK, there's no rule bo...

hmm max supports sysx? well of course it does actually it's got osc in it too.... that's a pretty brilliant idea... if only I used max msp....

I was actually considering doing the project in synth maker except midi stuff is SOOOO messy in it....

dropping loops and using new sounds in music is not mixing, it is probably more of remixing which is not what I'm talking about.... what I was saying is I've seen way too many gigs where the abletonian dj has two tracks loaded with prewarped mp3's and uses either an external mixer or a cheap ass mid...

Sample Warping Techniques(Tutorial)

Hey guys I spent the morning writing a message to a fellow producer who's trying to learn ableton and I put together a set for him which shows sample warping techniques from easy to more advanced.... After I sent it I realised that a lot of you would appreciate this tutorial so I'm going to copy and...

Ableton DJing but more mixing involved.

One thing that I never understood about ableton dj's is the fact that they prewarp everything... all you gotta do is crossfade.... I never saw any fun in that so back in the day when I was djing in ableton I made sure that I only put the first warp marked in a track after determaning the tempo of th...

press the expand button in the title bar of glitch within ableton.... this will open up all the vst's parameters, now you can map any of them like you would any other controlls.

well I have a trigger-finger controlled drum sequencer already however for putting micro kontrol into native mode via sysx is a whole different approach... you see when you put in native mode messages such as: Control Change, Note on/off, of course because nrpn and rpn are both bulk cc messages they...
