We plan to make the user interface more flexible in the future. This would include adjusable sizes of session tracks, hiding and grouping of tracks and things like this. But this is going to be a huge task and i cannot tell you now when we are going to work on it. ( So that statement comes down to :...

Hi Raapie, of course there are PlugIns which sound better with 96 kHz. And there is a reason why good EQs make use of double precission floating point values. The higher SR gives you better results on high frequencies, the higher resolution when calculating lots of trigonometric functions is essenti...

Disco Doctor, A sinewave undithered is becomming a rectangular wave before it finally dies. The pattern of the overtones is known and in comparison to a dithered signal the spectral energy _is_ in different frequency bands. If you would call this "shifting" or not is questionable, i agree....

Hi OLO, in Live 4 you can define for each physical input and each physical output if it is regarded as two seperate mono channels and/or as a stereo pair. You want to use send 3 to feed only output 3 of your soundcard or you want to record your bass from input 4 but your synth from 3 and 4 afterward...

Hi cryo, no there is no way to adjust the minimum / maximum value of a fader which is controled via MIDI, at least not yet. With one exeption : TEMPO. Go to the arranger. Open the master track. In the upper pulldown menu select Mixer. In the lower pulldown menu select Song Tempo. --> a value box for...

Hi rrrobc, depending on your soundcard you will need to adjust the warp markers of your re-recorded file in order to compensate for the latency. We know that latency compensation is a pretty important issue and we will see what we can do in future versions to make this a more pleasant experience. or...

Yes, of course we are going to create new effects.
I hope that i can devote more time to this in the future.
In Live 4 we had to focus on the Simpler/Impulse and the MIDI Effects.

Oh, the nooooootch .... It`s a long and a bit bizzare story with this notch and autofilter is suffering from a lot more things. Other people did correctly report that the frequency range of the filter controls from 40 Hz to 12.5 khz is not exactly state of the art... So the question for us is, do we...

Hello. I would like to moderate the discussion a bit. If Live would behave like the other well known applications there would be no reason to put it out because the other ones are allready there. We started writing Live because we wanted to do a few things different and i still think we managed the ...

You can use every grid from 1/384 Note to ... 512 Bars, or no grid at all
or tripplets... 16th notes is only the dafault setting for the pattern editor.

Search for these files on your harddisk:

MetronomeUp.wav

replace them by whatever short click you like.

Note: the sounds should be done in Live and have
correct .asd files. I am not sure if it would work fine without them...

Hello. Here comes a little tip for creating quasi non warped loops: Put a file in the arranger. Turn warp off Select the region you want to loop. Transpose the clip the way you want. Turn warp back on. If Live asks for keeping the timing say YES. Copy the clip and paste it in the session view. Unles...
