Re: Any Waldorf Pulse users out there?

You can get CTRLR on PC and OSX but I actually made this pack on Mac so you should be fine. Not 100% sure how windows users will get the plugin working, I think you'll need MIDI Yoke (?) No idea though.

Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Re: What am I doing wrong?

I also have a lot of trouble getting the bass 'just right' in tracks. Most important thing you need it you want serious sub bass rolling through your track is a sub woofer! Headphones are no good for sub bass and most monitors won't allow you 'feel' the sub rumble below 60hz... you just gotta have a...

Re: Any Waldorf Pulse users out there?

Cool, I'm going to upload a simple Live set that has the plugin with the correct routing (it took me a while to figure it out as there is no manual for the software!). In the meantime you'll have to download CTRLR which you can get here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ctrlrv4/files/ The only downsi...

Any Waldorf Pulse users out there?

I've made a panel for a plugin called CTRLR that allows you to control the synth like a VST (easy to use a midi controller and tweak a lot of parameters at the same time etc). Anyone be interested in a download?

Clicking record on a track colours sound?!

I was making some drum loops last night and noticed that the sound of my drum channel was coloured quite significantly when I clicked record for the channel. Anybody know of a reason why this might happen? I think it was either something to do with the routing of my send FX through Drum Rack... or (...

Re: Clarification about macs and hard drives?

I use HTFS but have a program called MacDrive on my PC laptop to access the external hard drive. Works fine for me, occasionally have some trouble mounting the drive but not sure why (hasn't happened recently). FAT32 is a terrible file system, IRC it only allows sub 4GB(?) files or something like th...

Re: APC40 <or> Launchpad + mixer ?

APC20 not on the cards?

I love mine, except for the fact all the scripts people make are for the APC40. Also the APC20 doesn't work with Live 7, which is an absolute disgrace imo.

Solid state hard drives?

Anybody know if these are due to drop in price any time soon? Badly want to get one but it seems that manufacturers haven't really bothered focusing on them much. I thought the old mechanical drives would have died a death shortly after USB pen-drives became all the rage, but here we are a few years...

Re: Live 8 crashes

Live 8 has been a constant nightmare for me in terms of crashing (I'm on mac). Live 7 was great, very rarely crashed even with all kinds of crazy plugins. Live 8 is so bad, it has crashed while it is loading the default template a few times! Awful stability. If it wasn't for all the features of 8 (l...

Re: midi nightmare!

The first time these problems arose was the day I got my APC20. There was a bad conflict between the radium and the APC which continues.. but if I turn them off and on in just the right order, they will sometimes work together for a while (they are working together now just fine). They seem to crash...

Re: How to get DJ work

Yep, personal contact is the way forward. Also, you might consider starting your own night in a small bar- I wouldn't rent a venue if you don't already have a lot of strong contacts/local reputation. Personally I've never got a gig anywhere from just sending off mix tapes, it's always been word of m...

Re: midi nightmare!

So radium, remote and apc are conncted to usb ports and Live recognizes them? Latest drivers for radium and remote as well? the KP and foot controller are also connected via USB. Latest drivers, all the controllers work fine from time to time. Kaoss pad and this mysterious external synth are fed fr...
