who uses a faderfox LC2 or LV2? opinion?
i've been thinking about getting a faderfox lv2 or lc2 and have a few questions for anyone who actually has one? 1) how is this unit to acutually use in a dj booth? does it fit snugly on a mixer, or turntable? or do you need to balance is someplace? 2) do you find it totally intuitive and you have s...

OT: hardware woes with new motherboard/CPU
So i had a big burn out - power supply went and blew out harddrive and possibly cpu/mobo. i replaced the cpu + mobo and reinstalled XP on new harddrive. OK so far. however, XP cannot read the partition info on my 2nd SATA data drive. it can see the drive but it reports it as 'unallocated' I'm sure i...

those faderfoxes look decent. they might be a winner the JL cooper thingy - great in a nice controller env, but not worth a sh*t in a dark club in a live performance environment. faderfoxes aren't cheap, but they might do a better job. no usb though - which prob is more stable, but that means you ne...

whats a smaller more compact controller than UC33?
UC33 is a little bulky for me. i'm getting sick of balancing it on the coffin, or the tables.
anyone got any suggestions for smaller more compact controller?
i know the trade off is buttons/sliders vs space.

only problem about such a large piece of gear being part of your setup, is that if you go to another club, you will either have to bring your mixer with you and setup someplace outside the cramped dj booth or you do without it. having a small midi controller means you can setup on top of any existin...

you need to assign the controls on the UC to the controls on teh screen. hit CTRL -M select the control on teh screen you wish to control. (eg fader) then move the fader on the evolution. hit ctrl-m to get out of midi-map. done. Alternatively you can load the preset in UC that someone else has creat...

if they are slightly drifting they are not in sync! assign a fader to the tempo and set the range to be about 3bpm of the CDJ range eg if CDJ is playing at 128bpm, set your live tempo range to be 126-129. then make sure you start live right on the beat. and use the fader to adjust live so they are i...
