Any ideas how I can stop this? According to the manual F10 should not mute Track 7 and Track 8 but rather do "Back To Arrangement" in navigation.
All F-keys F1 to F9 plus F11 are working as expected here in Live 8.2.7, it's just the F10 that is malfunctioning.

Re: Max 6 for Max for Live ?
Thank you jon_moore, the policy is totally clear now! ) I'll have to back off for now but will keep an eye on finances to hopefully pick up both licenses some day.

Re: Max 6 for Max for Live ?
Thank you. To be clear: what I can't find a clear information about is whether or not I need to also buy a M4L license in order to run the objects I create with Max 6 inside M4L? As I remember it, the main difference back when Pluggo was discontinued in favor of M4L was that you needed to buy M4L in...

Re: Max 6 for Max for Live ?
Ok, I've been reading this thread plus Ableton's and Cycling's web sites, saying that "it works ok to use Max 6 with M4L" - but it still isn't clear to me if you need to buy both the M4L license and the Max 6 license?

Vertical auto scrolling in Session View, clip follow action
Hi, I can't figure out how to make Live's Session View auto-scroll vertically to show the presently playing clip on a track where clips go on in a long chain by a Clip Launch Follow Action setup? I have clips with hints for the musicians, like a score, and the total column height is higher than the ...

Re: Ideas for octaphonics surround live setup?
Thanks, Angstrom, all great general strategies! We're definitely working that way in our artistic implementation - but are there more detailed, Live specific, "surround tricks" suggestions?

Ideas for octaphonics surround live setup?
Hi guys, I'm about to do a concert in octaphonics, 8 trk surround speaker system, and hoping to pick up some hints about routing tricks in Live to explore. It is a duo where both musicians play acoustic/electric instrument extended with electronics. We'll also be using some surround mixed backing tr...

Live is just the same on either platform but if you want to also use Logic Mac is the only option.Macrostructure wrote:nnnrrrggghhhh.....nope, still very dull. mac/pc anyone?

Re: For production, why is Logic better than Ableton?
I don't find Logic generally "better" - these two apps are kind of good at different parts. Mostly I use Logic to compose and finalize a recording (mixing and mastering) while I use Live (sometimes) when performing on stage. There are lots of reasons for this choice, I won't go into detail...

Ideas for visual cues in Live (session view)
Hi guys, I'm looking for ideas on how to set up visual cues with Live's Session View. I need something big flashing over the screen at certain points in the music to indicate for musician that something special is about to come up. I know I can use dummy clips of different colors on a "director...

Re: new 13" MacBook Pro performance?
I recently upgraded to the 13" dual core 2.7 GHz i7 MBP with 4 GB ram. It is notably stronger than my Santa Rosa chip 2.2 Macbook. I went with the dual core, rather then the quadro, because of the smaller screen and the fact that I use it a lot for live playing (live input stream being processe...

Re: assigning multiple midi notes to a button
Hi auron, When I checked now I wasn't able to do it. My overworked brain must have confused it with assigning multiple functions to the same MIDI event - which I do a lot in Live. However, in Bidule, Mobius and Mainstage I actually do some assigning of multiple MIDI events to the same target functio...

Re: Max 6 announced!
As things look now it seems a bit risky to buy Max 6 without first waiting out Live 9 to get a clear picture of what gives related M4L and all. You do realize that Max and M4L aren't really related this way ? Meaning: if you would buy Max 6 when its out it wouldn't affect M4L related issues. Owning...

That's peanuts! As long as sync is not lost I can live with such a lagstuartm wrote:There is a certain lag in tempo adaptation when changing the BPM abruptly, from say 140BPM to 100BPM it's about 3-4 seconds before it's in sync again.
