London - club recommendations

Haven't been there in awhile. If anyone could offer suggestions for cool (not douchey) places to hear badass electronic stuff, that'd be awesome. Last time I went I asked for recommendations on here and was steered toward The End, right before it closed its doors. That was a fantastic night. Huge pa...

Any recommendations where to hear music in Rio?

Hello all - I'm in Rio until Saturday. Any thoughts on where to hear some cool noise / electronic stuff / good DJs? Or just good bands. Or modern/experimental classical. (Have already been checking out samba spots.) Thanks in advance (this place always provides good recommendations when I travel som...

Re: iMaschine is out!

I'm going to gve it a go. The biggest thing lacking from nanostudio is that it can't record audio tracks.

If I'm looking basically for something like nanostudio but with multitrack audio recording, is there anything other than imaschine worth checking out?

Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread

I just wish nanostudio had audio tracks so you could at least record scratch vocal takes using the built in mic (or import audio files that you recorded some other way).

Re: check out MidMe, my new iPad midi controller app

Does this also mean that we can dispense with WiFI? USB connection straight to lappy? I thought that was forbidden by the gods on Mt. Macintosh. :? Unfortunately not, but you can create a local WiFi network on your Macbook so you don't need an existing WiFi network to use it. Would this work? http:...

Re: Guitar Fretboard Scale Visualisation Tool (HTML5).

That is awesome. I did this non-interactive chart awhile back. Slightly different conceptual approach. More of an "all you need to know presented on one page." And, of course, not interactive. (Can be useful though when you don't want to sit in front of a computer while playing guitar. Bu...

alessandro cortini & richard devine modular synth performanc

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6U59o1vO3GQ This was this past Sunday in Chicago. It's kind of hard to see, but it's those two sitting on the floor (in front of a modular video projection done by someone else, which was cool). Richard Devine is using a big multi-rack custom modular synth & floor ...

Re: Sennheiser HD 650 vs.600

I think the frequency response curve of the 650s is pretty damn flat. Those headphones sound great, but they don't sound hyped in any particular range.
