well, if you got live 8 just put live's own limiter in the master track.

if you are on 7 or lower, you can use a vst limiter instead, e.g. http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-master-limiter.php

are you on mac or pc? when you got a pc, i suggest http://www.asio4all.com in the meantime to use your internal speakers to get you started. just install, go to live's preferences and select ASIO with the asio4all driver. how do you hear music at home? do you got a system with a cd player and an amp...

the cable should work, you just need an amplifier or stereo system to connect the audio interface to. about the speakers i'm not sure, i guess it got small jack plugs and you can't connect them without an adapter.. and it might be a surround system of some kind or it has a mic inbuilt, therefore the...

unfortunately you have to do that again after every update. hopefully the installer will be altered soon to just install packs for authorized instruments...
