Well one of my favourites...

Create a lot of clips in the session view, save the project, go to arrange wiew, open the browser on current project. There are all your clips, sorted by channel, ready to just drag and drop inte the arrangement.

That's a tough call. It basically comes down to weather you want on apple or an orange... I have tried both, and I would buy the MEK, no question about it, but that's me, with my sonic preferences. The Phatty sounds excellently fat and warm, with good "bite" to it. The evolver is more dirt...

Is there any "official" performance test set for Live? If so, where do I find it?

MouseWheel to adjust knobs/sliders. That one is a GREAT feature, so much quicker and smoother to just hold the pointer above a slider and roll the mouse wheel as opposed to click-drag. MidiControl of currently selected parameter. Say, for instance, I assign ModWheel as "currently selected contr...

Actually, the problem is the "copy protection" system in the first place. The way I see it, those things never stop anybody from using a crack. Perhaps the very latest Live is not available cracked yet, but that's just a matter of time. What copy protection does is to make live for the pay...

Well, as a longtime cubase user (and as a very new Live user, hasn't even had the license registered to me yet, bought second hand...), I must say that, at least for me, Cubase 4 is the best cubase release so far. For mixing, I still think cubase have a big advantage over live (and I have tried the ...

At least Live CAN timestretch. Cubase is only good for timestretching material with a constant tempo, it's a pain in the ass beyond that. Ehm... What version are you using? Cubase can have clips set to "musical mode". You set markers, much like live (actually I think they have, ehum, been...

Midi step input

Hello! Soon to be Live user here. =) I have messed around quite a bit with the demo, and the only real gripe for me so far is the midi editor. (I'm a Cubase user, by the way...) Compared to cubase, the midi editor is seriously short on features. However, most of the cubase features I don't really us...

And also some kind of solo defeat. In cubase, for instance, you can alt-click on a channels solo button to make it stay on regardless of solo on other channels. Very very handy for return tracks, and in some cases group tracks...
