Re: Socialism will save us all (technology edition)
Once someone gives me a solution to the economic calculation problem or how you begin to impose socialism/communism without force then we can have a proper debate. Any takers? You can't: capitalism is imposed with force and any alternative to it become a good excuse for capitalist nations to make w...

Re: Socialism will save us all (technology edition)
There has never been a socialist country, ever. Says the bloke who thinks that price calculations aren't important in an economy. Communists/socialists never have an answer for the economic calculation problem. I think most of them don't even really realise it's an issue until they are too far into...

Re: Socialism will save us all (technology edition)
Well to be fair, you have already demonstrated that you don't know either what corporations are or what racism is, so at the very least, I'm more knowledgable than you, at least on these matters. Again you answer with insults instead of explaining your position. The refuge of the person with...

Re: Socialism will save us all (technology edition)
This can all be summed up very easily. If you're not left wing when you're young then you have no heart, If you're not right wing by the time you're thirty you have no brain. Socialism is a lovely idea, all of us living in peace, sharing everything, all for the greater good of humanity. But as you g...

Re: 9.0.3 release promised ?
You'll get a release when it has been tested enough to resolve issues. I know they promised 9.0.3 in about a week, it didn't happen. Why yours is crashing on exit? No idea because you don't post any details about your configuration (OS, Memory amount, HDD/SSD size/speed, etc). Perhaps if you post s...

Re: EIC Choir not present in L9 Suite Library
yeah I choir pack would be great. It would be nice to have the EIC 2 pack available for download for suite 9 owners. I've also noted live 9 suite has much less presets than live 8 suite did. What's the deal there? It's a pain in the bum to have to swap between librarys all the time.

Re: Launchpad95/85: Instrument Ctrl, Step Sequencer, Device Ctrl
Hey, problem fixed (user error as usual) I unzipped the zip file in the midi scripts section but realised there was a sub folder which actually contained the scripts. Maybe you should make that clearer for cretins like me :D . Thanks for this anyway, I'll give it a whirl and get back to you. Karma w...

Re: Launchpad95/85: Instrument Ctrl, Step Sequencer, Device Ctrl
I must be missing something here. Running Live 9 (newest) launchpad works fine in normal mode, when I switch the control surface to Launchpad 95 all the lights go off (still sending midi signals though) and no matter what I do no lights come on. Do I need automap installed or something?

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price
I have live 8 suite download -----> Euro 249 upgrade to Live 9 Suite download I also have an old Live 4 licence --------> upgrade to live 8 suite and then free upgrade to 9 suite is Euro 239 rather silly, but there we go, at those prices it's doubtful I'll upgrade immediately anyway. They must be th...

Re: What Do You Think of As GroundBreaking Today?
Nothing is ground breaking today, technology has really slowed down, music tech is pretty much the same now as it was 10 years ago , a few evolutions in things i guess, but nothing ground breaking. All i see is people trying to make electronic music less electronic by making it sound like a 10 year ...

Re: Zeitgeist the movie (would be mandatory viewing if up 2 me)
From the FAQ 1) HOW DID "ZEITGEIST: THE MOVIE" COME TO BE? The original Zeitgeist was actually not a "film", but a performance piece, which consisted of a vaudevillian style multi-media event using recorded music, live instruments and video. The event was given over a 6-night per...
