Re: U-he appreciation
http://draigathar.org/sounds/Hive23.mp3 That sounded Bazille-ish or maybe draigathar/deva-ish? yeah, deva-ish Hive sounds different than Bazille... softer, more inviting and definitely easier to use. I find Hive clean and clear... with a sweet friendly sound. Here's another: http://draigathar.org/s...

Re: U-he appreciation
Hive is super easy to work with... all in one window (except Mod Matrix tab 2) drag-n-drop modulation every meaningful parameter can be modulated including FX I don't do trance stuff, so others will have to do some demos for those interested. This is a Hive example. http://draigathar.org/sounds/Hive...

Re: U-he appreciation
Speaking of filters... listen to the second of these Bazille examples. The sound shaping and character is mainly from the filter... sequenced modulation of the filter output added to itself then fed back into the filter input and cutoff modulated by the sequencer plus modmapper. http://draigathar.or...

Re: U-he appreciation
Three questions about Zebra 3: Is Zebra 3 going to have those Diva filters like Dark Zebra? If not, will Dark Zebra be available as an add-on? Is Dark Zebra too CPU intesnsive? I know it is much more than normal Zebra, but is it a pain like Diva or Bazille in High Quality mode? Zebra 3 will not hav...

Re: U-he appreciation
with Bazille it's a pretty unique thing, as it's an FM modular. If you're not a fan of FM or modulars there's not much hope in you liking Bazille. Same with Diva, even with it's wide acceptance there were people who didn't like it because it's not a Virus or Omnisphere... There are call on KVR's ho...

Re: U-he appreciation
I'm fine with it being complex, but the review didn't mention that it was complex and therefore would take time to learn. On this one I agree that a review could mention something about taking time to learn depending on the users background... but it is not because of complexity... Zebra is more co...

Re: U-he appreciation
Yes, I listened to all the presets. It left me and many others feeling ambivalent. So why didn't the review pick that up? Instead it just blasted on about how wonderful it was. considering that Bazille is the most successful launch of a U-he synth to date, perhaps there are less of you than you think

Re: U-he appreciation
I just hope the Hive sounds as good as, or better than, Sylenth (no digital harshness). And the filing system makes sense. And it looks good. Considering that every U-He release, including all synths and effects, share exactly the same file management system, I think you can predict exactly what th...

Re: U-he appreciation
edit: and while I'm at it, how are those Batman presets? The demo vid gave me mixed feelings; some interesting stuff and some surprisingly plain stuff, too.. and to be honest, while I like HZ's filmscores in general, what I don't like are Howard Scarr's presets for Zebra. He seems to spend a lot of...
