Re: Video Export not working?
Please say if you use OSX or Windows I can't render video since january 2014 on OSX, and Ableton can't resolve the issue due to the quicktime codec that does not work in 64bits. Workaround: keep a 32 bits version of Live ( Ikeep Live 9 32 bits) render the audio of your project, open Live 32 bits and...

Re: Live 10.03 lagging like hell - SOLVED!!
Live 10.03 laggs like hell :( Was previously on Live 10.02 and it worked flawless. It seems that it updated itself yesterday and now its lagging like crazy, even freezing my PC. Anybody else experiencing this? WIN 10, 64Bit. Nothing changed besides the Ableton Live update from 10.02 - 10.03. EDIT: ...

Re: PC Laptop Recommendations for Large Live Set?
Hard drive speed is important to run a large amount of audio files. If you only use midi then it's less important. And yes, loading time will improve with a pcie HD. Also new culpa when I said mac HD were 6x faster than PC.. I should have said 6x faster than a regular SAta III SSD DRIVE. I checked o...

Re: PC Laptop Recommendations for Large Live Set?
I, too am thinking of going to PC, but as soon as I match the specs of a MacBook Pro, the price is the same So you'll have to sacrifice on certain things you don't need to have a better price. The other thing is you'll need to install 3rd party softwares like LoopBe in order to have virtual midi por...

Re: Best PC audio interface for Ableton?
So the problem you have is that there is no headphones connector on your audio interface? Yes first thought is to change the interface. What is your budget? You can get a focusrite Scarlett under 200$, or a presonus 22vsl... But in a couple of years you might want a higher quality interface. Then yo...

Re: Mac vs Windows 2018
I went through the same thoughts, 2 1/2 years ago, and stayed with Mac because all my co workers were on MAC. Else I would have got an ASUS gaming computer for 1/2 the price of an MBP. So I got the strongest 2015 MBP. I was very dissapointed with the video card... I just scored a movie on it, and th...

Re: Poor audio quality when recording (again)
It goes in Ableton live, 32 outputs, sound system with 80 speakers, a surround mapper to make the sound travel from any source. Very nice! Which space is that btw? I am curious because I also do projects in surround - mainly in a dome (Satosphere at the SAT) here in Montreal with 25.4 channels / 15...

Re: Poor audio quality when recording (again)
I totally agree. I just hope they keep improving their audio engine and export function, and I'll just be happier.andrepires wrote:@lapieuvre
Since it is very small difference now, I'm happy enough to continue using Ableton because the workflow on Ableton is great.

Re: Poor audio quality when recording (again)
100 stems? what kind of music do you work on? Live music, hard to say what style it is, a mix of rock, pop, world with full orchestra ( recorded) It goes in Ableton live, 32 outputs, sound system with 80 speakers, a surround mapper to make the sound travel from any source. 3 to 8 piece band. Lots o...

Re: Poor audio quality when recording (again)
Glad you found the problem. But know that there is a difference of audio quality between DAW's. Not huge but it's there. My suggestion is when you export a mix from Ableton, export in 32 bits. I did some tests and there is a difference in the sound. The test I made was this one: Take a song separate...

Re: Crash on video export in Live 10
It's sad that before it was very easy to do, and now we can't do it anymore. I agree this is sad, but as with other not fully working aspects of Live I've lost faith a long time ago in this one. I'm just happy you can use a reference video at all. I hope you have let Ableton know of your concerns? ...

Re: Crash on video export in Live 10
I get your point. But all i need is a video export feature for demo purposes. It's sad that before it was very easy to do, and now we can't do it anymore. BUT PC users still have the feature, because it works fine on windows. I find it annoying to have to export audio then open it in Live 8 32 bits,...

Re: Crash on video export in Live 10
Exporting the audio and mounting it with the original source video in any of the free video editing applications doesn't work for you for some reason? I finally was able to export video in Live 64 bits... until now. the music starts before the video, so it's more complicated to bounce it from Live ...
