Noticed its's the filter that's killing it.
OSR with some drive. Switch the filter off . . . it drops by 40%.
Is the filter really that demanding? I didn't realise the upgrade with the Cytomic filters was so demanding.

CPU Hungry Operator Patch - 44% CPU!?
Hi, I've created a pretty straightforward Operator patch and it's glitching my machine out! It's pushing my CPU from 4% to 45% when playing a 4 note chord. I've always found Operator to be relatively undemanding; have I got something strange going on or is this something that can happen? 1st time I'...

Re: Waves Puigtec EQ $29 - Worthwhile or Hype
Cheers for the replies guys.
I have an Elektron Analog Heat and I've downloaded the demo of the Puigtec. I'm comparing them both to see if there is anything the plug in offers that the Elektron doesn't. So far . . . not sure.

Waves Puigtec EQ $29 - Worthwhile or Hype
Hi everyone. I see this EQ is on special offer on the Waves website. I have been looking out for another EQ to compliment the Ableton one. I'm not really knowledgeable of all the legendary hardware let alone the software versions. Therefore . . . I'm in here asking for your opinions or views on this...

Re: Using Insert On Audio Interface
Just amended the compensation to 50ms on the preferences.
The position of the drum in the recorded clip remained at 12.5.
Driver Error compensation is making no difference to the recording.
I'm doing something wrong of course. But I'm not sure what.

Re: Using Insert On Audio Interface (Now with Latency issues!)
Okay, perhaps this is stating the obvious, but as I don't know what is obvious or not . . . Delay Compensation does not work if you are using an external midi clock. As I use the MD as the external clock, that scuppers my use of the Delay Compensation. However, I have switched off the external sync ...

Re: Using Insert On Audio Interface
Arghhhhhh. Okay going slightly nuts here. I've done the Ableton lesson on driver error compensation and have inconsistent results. Anyway, ended up with their technique suggesting .50 ms compensation needed. Have set it to that. Recorded the MD . . . Apparently 22.5 ms latency. Recorded it again 26....

Re: Using Insert On Audio Interface
Okay,
I'll try some different things tonight.
Yesterday was frustrating as I didn't have much time and had a bloody fitful night's sleep with it playing on my mind!

Re: Using Insert On Audio Interface
Okay . . . The sound card has arrived. I've had an hour to mess about. I've got some issues! :P Okay, Richie, I'll aim this towards you a bit as your last response relates to this a bit . . . This post will also highlight some of the misunderstandings I have about Live due to mainly working inside t...

Re: Using Insert On Audio Interface
Cheers Richie, My girlfriend, being the intelligent and intuitive person she is, has also fathomed there may be more money to spend due to this addition. She doesn't know too much about music set ups but she can sense my intentions to spend more money on things that make sounds! Again, thanks for al...

Re: Using Insert On Audio Interface
Cool.
I'll try all this out this week when it all arrives.
I'm hoping that I can give tune it so any latency is reduced.
The Overbridge plug in introduces so much latency at the moment that it's not particularly useable.
Thanks again.

Re: Using Insert On Audio Interface
Cheers guys. Your responses are so helpful. So if I run two cables, one from insert one and one from insert two into the Analog Heat then run the output back . . . Hold on, that won't work. So, Richie, what you said makes sense . . . Run cables from two outputs into the inputs of the AH and then the...

Using Insert On Audio Interface
Hi, I have a fabulous Analog Heat and I'm awaiting the delivery of a Behringer Firepower Audio Interface. What I want to do is use the Heat on the insert of the audio card so I can run things through that channel and avoid Overbridge, which I find unreliable. What I was wondering, due to my lack of ...
