Re: Skrillex Bass Wobble

some nice stuff in there. i got an au warning (i'm on windows) but it still sounds great, so the au plugin wasn't really for the bass?

ah, found it on the master track, it's the limiter.

27) operator is a great synth to learn all kind of synthesis. and it's very flexible to create about any sound you can dream of, while staying very mild on cpu.

Re: Faderfox 4midiloop controller

a starter should get a faderfox. this is the "ultimate" thing, not the "starter" thing.

i don't get the rantings about the price. handmade is always much more expensive than mass production. they can't beat NI in price in any way.

Re: Choosing Macbook Pro i5 i7 core and speed specs.

Not quite on topic but similar: I recently put a SSD into my Toshiba laptop, and I've noticed more crackling that I used to (any, as opposed to none), as well as momentary lag when I'm recording an audio loop, as soon as I hit the clip launch button to start the clip looping. Could that be a factor...

Re: Choosing Macbook Pro i5 i7 core and speed specs.

it's a max of 5% performance gain for the price of 10% more. i would not buy it, no. i would get the i5. but it depends on your usage of live. i just use internal plugins (and now 'nerve', which doesn't use much cpu), so i don't actually need that much cpu. i'd spend the money on an ssd, always (hel...

Re: Faderfox 4midiloop controller

Bad timing much? Why would anyone buy this for over 1300€ instead of the S4 for 900€? 8O he actually produced it for himself, and got lots of requests. so now he builds according to those requests as needed. bad timing, yes, but he has already a customer base. and personally, i would prefer this on...

Re: Choosing Macbook Pro i5 i7 core and speed specs.

Thank you for that, LeedsQuietMan. Now, can somebody explain to me what the difference is between the 2.4GHz Core 2 Dual in my current Macbook, and the i5 or i7, and why does Live perform better with the i5? I thought the i5 had quad core. Steve the core iX are new designs, leading to improved perf...

Re: new windows 7 machine=letdown--help!

Make sure you get out of the "aero" theme and run the basic theme. That should help you a bit with performance. I have an i7 920 w/ 9GB of ram, and am running the E-mu 1616m pcie and live works great for me in windows 7 64 bit professional. Pcie is faster than pci as far as I know. My pci...

Re: MP3's Corrupt or not licensed ?

I feel bad for bumping this really old thread, but I have been having the same issue from beatport mp3s in win7 x64, and i would much rather not have quicktime installed. Installing quicktime does resolve the issue, anyone have any other suggestions? i have it for mp4/m4a. live and others (traktor)...

Re: Amp = Fail

blah. they are actually cleaning up the presets (as documented in their updates) because they messed something up. other than that, it's still something for free which is ALWAYS BETTER THAN NOTHING AT ALL. but obviously, one can give you stuff for free, and you still complain. so if i come up to you...

it's something for free, which might some put to good use, others might not. and welcome to the web, people complain.

3phase: even if it's just some presets for free, it's SOMETHING FOR FREE. better than NOTHING.

Re: Adjusting volume automation for every track.

which is why you should not do volume automation except for the actual mixing. to fix it if already done: if you don't have track-groups, group the tracks to get a "secondary" volume. if needed, individually. to prevent it: use utility or similar on a track for the musical non-mixing autom...
