Some bugs here....or am I doing something wrong??

I've noticed a few strange things that happen when using live. Does anyone else experience these? I am using a legit copy, version 7 recently upgraded to 7.09 1) The longer Live is open for, the slower it gets. This is worsened if I leave it open, say browse the Internet for an hour then come back t...

So Ive downlaoded and installed 7.09

Its the complete package again right? Its asking for serial number, I guess all my settings will need to be done again, VSTs installed, file folders set up?

Is this right? Or is there an update option to simply update what youre already running and have set up?

Live is the crashiest program on the market

I use software all day every day, mainly design packages of a similar price range to Live, and none of them even come close to crashing as many times as Live does If I open a set and work on it for a while, then try loading another then 9 times out of 10 this will crash it If I have my email program...

Treatment to give life to old breakbeats

I am using an old school breakbeat in one of my tracks and it just lacks life and punch. Can anyone give any tips on how to give a bit of life back to this old loop. Ive heard it used by Venetian Snares for example and his sounds fat, punchy, and solid. Mine is a bit boxy and lacks sparkle Thanks alot

Rendered mix sounds quiet and lacks punch

Ive spent a lot of time getting my tune to sound the way I want it, comparing it to commercial tunes of a similar style I think its fairly close. But when I render the tune to disk it seems to lose its punch and loudness. I select to normalise it but that doesnt help. Its not just a volume issue the...

Use in-built effects or 3rd party plugins?

When you are creating a track and specifically mixing it down, do you use the in-bult Ableton Live effects or do you turn to 3rd party VSTs?

I'm not convinced the default reverbs/compressors etc that come with Live are as good as other (even free) VST plugins.

What do you guys use?

Help please mapping with Remote Zero SL

I am trying to map some controls in Live 7 with my Remote SL, but it seems whatever I do the damn Automap mode keeps taking over I scroll through on the SL to a blank template, go into MIDI map mode in Live, click a control I want to map but then whatever I press on the SL to specify the control, it...

the difficulty is in stopping the original sound but allowing the delay to continue

if you put a command in the chain to mute the track or a utility to reduce the volume then it takes the effect away with it

I understand it can be done like that, but I thought whilst using a rack I might as well try and make it a one button solution

Are you saying it isnt possible if thats the common way of doing it?

Thanks alot

Is this possible in a rack?
