I think it's brilliant. It would be the first time since vinyl that we would have an actual and accurate representaion of a waveform.

Well done.

Do you have a decent set of monitors? Nothing helps a mix like being able to hear what it actually sounds like.

How lame is this;

I ordered a PowerBook, it arrived at the FedEx joint in town on Friday night, but it's not being delivered until tomorrow because the union's are on holiday today.

The danger, IMO, is that the talentless laptop jocks with their 'supa-dis-trigga-dat-triple-beatrepeat-flanging-double-buttfuck-full-body-motion-punch-the-air-filter-sweep-EQ-kills-while-I-limp-like-I've-been-shot-in-a-Compton-drive-by' vaudeville acts can ruin it for the talented laptop jocks. I bought a 24 a while back. Got it, plugged it in, and all it did was output a little static burst every few seconds. Get this, it even did it when it wasn't hooked up to the computer, just powered by the AC adapter. Sent it back and got another one. Same thing. Sent that one back and finally got on...

I would recommend that you avoid the MAudio Quattro no matter how cheap it is. I used one for about a year on the PC platform and was not happy There was bleed through on record and playback for all four channels (channels 3 and 4 bleeding into 1 and 2 and vice versa). I had constant crashes with C...

I don't know. I've always used the built in stereo out on my iBooks and PowerBooks when performing. Never had any problems. Low latency, no CPU drain, decent sound quality, never any glitches in the audio stream... are you dead set on having two stereo outs?

I tell ya, for my money it's tought to beat MIT Press. I often go into the local bookstore and just browse the isles looking for anything bearing that little seven line logo on the spine. I've come across some amazing stuff that way. Like my latest find; I've only cracked the first dozen or so pages...
