I tested this and this problem does not show up on OS X - I know you don't really need to hear that. All I can think of is that your monitoring or midi routing is not set up correctly on the midi track that you drag the clip to.

You didn't really say if anything changed recently. If you had your current version of Live and Omni drivers set up and working for a while, I'd try trashing all of the Delta prefs. Copy down your settings in delta control before you trash the prefs.
