Re: Why does Live not allow copying from explorer while open?
I'm not quite sure why it keeps recorded files open (but it does). One thing you could do is use the EDIT button to bring a file into another application and save it from there. Could be a bit laborious if there are lots though. Also, cropping or consolidating clips makes copies you can copy. You co...

Re: Ableton How change the Tempo that it fits the sample???
If you warp it you can set the clip to Tempo Master, it will play at the speed you set. If you want the warping off then do this and select Unslave Tempo Automation from the tempo box and it will paste in the tempo automation.

Can you know how much needed changing to do what they wanted to do with Push?fifedawg wrote:IMHO, Ableton could have just realeased Push to work w/ Live 8 and it would have been fine.

He's right - it's always pumping like there's a limiter on the master.

I've been working with MIDI for a long time, who do I complain to about not receiving my complementary foot pedal?

Re: Lossless audio in Ableton Live: FLAC vs AIFF/WAV
I've got stuff that's archived in FLAC. Also a few bought things.
Uploading mp3 to Soundcloud I find is often disastrous in terms of the streaming quality, OK for download. I think they decode it and then re-encode at 128kbps so it ends up pretty spletchy.

Re: Lossless audio in Ableton Live: FLAC vs AIFF/WAV
Does it decode FLAC to a cached WAV like it does with mp3? In which case after the initial decompression you shouldn't see any performance hit.

Per track BTA? That sounds like an excellent change. Surprised they haven't made more noise about that.

Re: Ok, Live 9, what you like/dislike?
I still have issues warping non-EDM tracks, though (seriously, can warping be done easily without a four on the floor club beat?!?!). Not always easily but usually if there aren't too many odd breaks or time changes it can be done. I've tackled some tricky ones. With some things it's just self-defe...

Re: Why is Ableton Live's transient detection so bad?
THIS! I have always wondered this too... I always just set 1.1.1 manually and then try to warp at the original BPM to save myself the hassle of having to correct the whole way through. Yep, that's a great way to do it. Also once you've added a second marker you can see what's usually a more accurat...

Re: Why is Ableton Live's transient detection so bad?
Not a full answer but they are different cases aren't they. That is to say that Recycle isn't concerned with *where* in the bar the transients are supposed to be, just that they are there. It's a much simpler thing it needs to do. I never use auto-warp though, I can usually do it quick enough by han...

Re: Hey Live 9 early adopterz - per-object selection in arrange?
Thanks Mr. f.
Man, that seems like such a basic thing and working around it leads to all manner of tedium. Ho hum.
I suppose I could always hum in the way I want the arrangement to sound and have it converted to MIDI.

Hey Live 9 early adopterz - per-object selection in arrange?
You know, like control-click to select a number of arbitrary clips or env points that doesn't turn into a rectangular selection block.
I think I already know the answer but would like to be pleasantly surprised.
Thanks.
