Re: Normalizing Clips volume
Still, I think Live needs a Normalize feature. It's very simple to implement, already exists in Sampler and Simpler, but not for regular audio clips. Would make life much easier for adjusting levels of recordings, and almost eliminate the need for an external audio editor completely.

Re: Eventide H9
Thank you Rixende. I would not route the output of the pedal back into the audio interface, but would send it to an external mixer. The pitchshifter performance is not really a matter of personal taste as formants play a big role when it comes to pitchshifting the human voice. The guitar level issue...

Eventide H9
Hi there, I'm considering purchasing an H9. I plan to use it both with and without a computer. Does any one of you have any opinions on the following points? - using it as a "plugin" inside Ableton Live via MIDI control. - using it in a hardware setting to process sound (not guitar) - usin...

Thank you paradiddle.
That issue won't affect me as I am still on Yosemite and will not upgrade as long as I can manage. I think Apple is digging its own grave with these annual OS updates.
Best,
Korhan

iConnectAudio4+
Hi there, As I am using my iPad more and more as an instrument / sampler / signal processor than a MIDI controller, I have been considering the iConnectAudio4+ to route audio into the iPad (microphone, external synths, etc) and send the iPad output to outboard effects processors. Apart from MIDI rou...

Audio Editor for Mac OS
Hello everyone, I have been using Amadeus Pro for a long time, partly because I had bought it in a hurry many years ago and it's cheap. However, it is really buggy and every update introduces a new bug while fixing older ones. So, could you please recommend me some alternatives that are: - more audi...

iconnectmidi2+ / is disabling Audio Pass Through possible?
I like the iconnectmidi2+ interface when I use it with an iPad and a computer. When you use it with an iPad only (as a MIDI interface for the iPAd), it disables the audio even if a computer is not connected to the interface. I consider this a design error and wonder if there is a way to stop this be...

Re: Live 9.5
For some reason, the new Max for Live devices are not included in my install. Has anyone else experienced this? Or should I upgrade the Max Essentials Pack, I wonder? EDIT: Yes the new installer does not come with this package for some reason. I see it as an omission as there is no notice about havi...

Re: External effects with KP3
I don't work on the time domain, so I don't need to sync anything to anything else... However, MIDI clocking can be quite stable. It has been used for producing music for so many decades, even in the 80s. So, unless you want to be precise to the +-1ms or so, MIDI should be fine. I have no idea how a...

Re: External effects with KP3
This summer I am a bit busy and jamming depends on the music you make - not if I like it or not, but if I have something to add to it :) Does it though?! I love crossing boundaries when just jaming for the hell of it. You learn a new perspective either way. But yeah, my previous work is in the soun...

Re: External effects with KP3
My pleasure Samplr is an app that you cannot recreate on a computer though. I think you should check it out. Being able to play different sections of a sample at the same time using fingers can be very powerful. You can even arpeggiate slices of samples. It runs on an 2nd gen iPad. My website is kor...

Re: External effects with KP3
Hi Tom, I've been using the iPad as a controller and a sampler/sample-playback tool for a while now. I use Lemur for controller tasks and Samplr/Borderlands for sampling, playback, sample processing. Neither of these apps work on live input. There are many apps that do work on live input. But... the...

Re: Sample playback-processing hardware
Actually, I think I do not really need this. I am extremely happy with my microgranny, especially after upgrading it to 2.4 today. Simple, powerful and inspiring piece of gear. I have been using the Volca Sample in many creative ways as well. It is quite easy to get some good granulation out of it, ...

Re: External effects with KP3
I cannot recommend you a specific audio interface, but as I said, you need at least four outs and two inputs. The rest depends on your budget, computer.
