Processor usage is much reduced if you engage the 'digital mode', added in v1.6.0.

Not that it's particularly high anyway. :)

Augustus Loop forum

Hi,

I've noticed a number of Augustus Loop-related posts here - just wanted to mention that Augustus (and the rest of the Expert Sleepers plug-ins) now has a dedicated forum over at KVR:

Bug(?) in AU hosting (MIDI channel for note on messages)

I sent this to support@ableton.com, so far without reply. It seems that when Live passes MIDI note on messages through to AU plug-ins, the MIDI channel of the message is always '0', even if the MIDI message was sent on another MIDI channel. Is this intentional? It presents serious difficulties to pl...

5.2 is a version built to run on the new intel macs. All your plugins need to be universal binary's too. In order to get them to work. Hi, are you aware of any problems in 5.2 with regard to Universal VST plug-ins? (Not AUs.) I've been updating my plug-ins to UBs and on my MacBook Pro Live 5.2 won'...

AU parameters with unit 'Beats' handled incorrectly

I mentioned this in the beta forum: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23461 but didn't get a reply. if an Audio Unit plug-in publishes a parameter with a unit of 'beats', then the Live GUI only offers and displays integer values for that parameter. However the values sent to the plug-in a...

I mentioned this here:

As a result, I downgraded Live's status on my compatibility page:

Thanks Per.

I'd be grateful if you could check it out with the Live 5 beta - I missed out on the beta trial myself unfortunately.

Hi, I've just updated Augustus Loop to v1.4.3 with much improved MIDI sync compatibility. I'm also maintaining a compatibility chart now at http://www.collective.co.uk/expertsleepers/augustussync.html which is something of a hall of shame for the larger DAW hosts - fortunately Live (4.1.4 I tested) ...

I had a similar problem with a BCR2000.

I returned it to the store - its replacement has been fine (so far!).

So maybe there are just some 'bad' units out there.

The first one of these I bought was a dog - it would drop the connection to the computer after 30 seconds or so after powering-on. It went back to the shop - the replacement has been solid so far, and works really well with Live (4.04, on a powerbook 667).

This might be rather prosaic by comparison, but I get a lot of joy out of Live and one of these:

It's cool that not only does the controller control Live, but if you move settings in Live the controller follows you too.
