this is a long shot but I have a PCR-800 i'm not using (it was barely used) and i'm looking for a PCR-M1 and a uc-33e.
I wouldn't mind trading to avoid messing with ebay etc. Both units must be in good shape.

this is the single most annoying thing in Live. i've been asking for a fix for years now, and surprisingly this keeps unaltered version after version. try recording external CCs in Live...this keeps happening. It seems like the midi information is kept somewhere and when you open a new track they ar...

Re: Live 7 improved audio engine?
Hi Live users. I have yet to upgrade but have downloaded the demo to check out the new features. I have read many people stating they hear an improved audio engine but in all honesty I don't hear any difference. I tested the exact same live set with version 6 and version 7 both running on the same ...

I'm simply not going to fall for your personal attacks. That's no way to try to start an argument. If you read the audio fact sheet and search around the forum a bit, you'll realize that people know about the difference between the Neutral and Non Neutral operations that the user can do or Live doe...

for me, there's no price for what I got from it. you can hot swap everything you want (like usb headsets, soundcard etc), you can open and close any music apps you want and use them at the same time, iTunes, with live, with quicktime etc...and the thing just works. it doesn't complain. Also, you can...

man, I'm not trying to convert anyone. I'm just saying what I hear. I may be young and inexperienced but I know what I hear. Now let me know the 20-30 year experienced producer that says Live sounds good and uses it in it's productions (as a mixing DAW). those guys are discussing differences between...

yeah I went checking that as well. I think it's 32. I'm not trying to get into a fight or something (except where explicit). I've been using Live since v3 and it took me a while to realize the problems it had sound wise. It took getting more experience with this stuff, and getting proper DA and moni...

Re: Holy Funk
Excuse me if I'm repeating others, but what does that make of the whole 'Live sounds like every other DAW'-attitude most of us have had so far? As long as you are comparing the same bit depth between DAW's they should sound basically the same. I don't know any technicalities about this stuff, what ...

A few things had to be fixed or upgraded, but nothing that made Live sound inferior to other DAWs. The Abes just made it sound even better. It's definitely the toobes then man!!! HA HA HA HA!!!!! you know it's people like you that help create the very nice atmosphere on this forum. Somehow it's fas...

it's definitely better now. The low end is defined until the 30Hz I can get from my system and there is just way more detail and dynamics. It's tight. i wasn't planning to upgrade but this one is a must. I've been a bit bitter with ableton since Live 5 but finally they did something worthy of an upg...

it sounds good!
damn it! I tested Live 7's demo today and what a surprise. the 64bit stuff is not a hoax afterall as I was expecting...all it took was monitoring my synths through it... I'm back to live again I guess. the multiple automations in the arrangement are also a big plus. Still waiting for a nice crossfad...

also, apparently in the context of the earth's 4.3 billion years we are actually still in a very mild ice age, and for much of the first 2 or 3 billion there were no polar ice caps at all :? watch out the propaganda. in the first 2-3 billions of years there was nothing more than bacteria living in ...
