Re: If you're looking for a USB powered Midi foot controller...
You can save presets of the FBV configuration (and switch them in the midst of a session), but you are limited to the 4-13 switches at one time.

Re: How do you setup your return tracks in live?
Sends 1-4 are from a Kurzweil KSP8 with a 2 delays and 2 reverbs. Send 5 is usually a PSP 84 delay. Send 6 is usually Speakerphone or Altiverb. I'll then have 2 blank ones to put in VST effects.

Re: Good mic for acoustic guitar?
I'd recommend a Shure SM81.
A more expensive LDC route would be the AT 4050 (which has a lot more uses besides).

Re: question about midi foot control buttons
Yes that Behringer unit is heavy and big. But isn't that somewhat of a good thing. You want plenty of control. You do not want the thing sliding on the floor. It is sturdily built and the buttons are far enough apart that you can launch reliably. It does take some work setting up, but there are good...

Re: I'm not hiphop enough for rapper apparently..
Interesting. I'm working with a rapper on an album. I'm making the music. It's been an interesting process. He has been very pleased with the results, and we have a good collaboration going. I have more of a Roots, Mos Def interest, and he is more interested in the southern (Lil Wayne) sound. He wan...

I think you're right.
This is a limitation in the Session view.
You did try locking automation envelopes before copying it over to session view, right?

Yes. This would be great.
BTW--Nice tip about clicking on the CPU Load Meter. That's on the top right of the Ableton GUI, right?

That's strange. I haven't had that problem. You should be able to export per track or the Master.
Trying freezing the Reason tracks and rendering. Are you using External Instrument to send and return from Reason?

Re: ableton crashing alot???
Yes, I've been having problems over the last couple of months, when before that things had been working so well (when using 8.03). Now some of those crashes is because I have some ridiculously complicated sets and may not have enough RAM. The annoying aspect is that when I run out of memory, the pro...

Re: 2 Display Monitors Benefits?
I stretch Live across 2 screens, and with that the benefit of 2 monitors is probably less. But I will have Reason Rewire on one side (usually over less important tracks or hiding some arrangement track real estate. I've been thinking of just going to one bigger monitor because the separation of the ...

Last time I tried, this was a no-go. For now, you'll have to use the Omnisphere GUI for this.

Re: how to make my voice sound pro?????????? HELP PLEASE!
This is too complex to answer without knowing more. You are going to have to work at this and do some learning. The quality of the recording will greatly depend on the room (since without proper care/treatment it will sound very boxey), quality of the preamp, quality of the microphone, quality of th...

Re: Recording Guitar Rig Wah Wah
Yes, however record your automation in the arrangement session. You can press the Configure button on the Live 8 GUI plug-in and then press whatever parameter you want modify on GR3. It will then automatically be added as an automated parameter. I usually group the VST (GR3). Then map the wah to one...
