Midi messages from peak levels
It would be very useful for live to send Midi messages or something similar to drive external peak level meters for each channel. This could lead to the development of very user friendly midi mixing desks for software driven studios. This could lead to a beter version of the APC40 with a usable mixi...

Re: Peak level output to hardware.
Thanks for your reply. The theory regarding the audio outputs is good but not practical as the desk will have 16 tracks therefore 16 audio outs. Does live not send this information for Mackie style hardware which does have the facility to measure individual peak levels? I think making the suggestion...

Peak level output to hardware.
I am putting together a custom midi mixing desk, a combination of two BCF2000's and somehow a hardware peak level meter for each channel.
Is anyone aware whether live can send information out for peaks on each channel?
Also does anyone know of a piece of kit that can receive this information?

Re: floating resizable windows
Definitely a must. This in advantage Cubase has over Live. It can't be that difficult?

I have the answer, thanks to a really kind guy at NativeKontrol. 1. Go to Preferences and turn the Track switches on for padKONTROL 1 PORT A and padKONTROL 1 CTRL. 2. Insert an instrument rack. 3. Add Battery or any instrument to the instrument rack. 4. Add an additional instrument rack 5. Set the r...

OK so imagine you are using battery 3. Battery gives you feedback of which instrument is playing. It helps when you are using a lot of different sounds. It would be massively helpful if the Padkontrol could do this as well so you can see what instruments are playign wihtout have to cross reference w...

PadKontrol lights - should they light up when a beat sounds?
Hi
Just bought a padkontrol. Great surface but I though the buttons would light up when ableton sends midi to say a note is being played?
It doesn't seem to do this, is this right? Am I doing something wrong?

Change default scene length
Hi
I'm a little frustrated with the default scene length being too short. At present the only one is 1 bar in length and I would prefer 4.
Thanks for the help.

External Control of overview.
It would be very useful to be able to assign keyboard or midi control to the zoom and scroll function (ie mouse controls) of the overview. I am presently usign a Tascam Fireone which enables me to scroll slowly across the screen. What would be better would be to scroll left and right, and then zoom ...
