in the 'audio from' drop down select your stylus channel A
press record
now you are recording everything that plays thru your stylus channel

does one of your controllers have a midi in?
you could connect the midi out of your firebox to the input of that

mac laptop with firebox and noavation (master)
windows laptop with audio dj and apc (slave)

when you say the offset was wrong - you mean it changed value?
