Are you tripping Mplay, that sounds nothing like the examples he posted.

Re: Kontakt 4 vs Sampler.

glitchrock-buddha wrote:Two reasons I like Kontakt over sampler. One is that there is time stretching (ie. time independent pitching of samples) which lets you create patches from samples that don't change sample length as you change pitch.

Re: Sampler Vs. Manual Audio Editing?

You should soon be able to do manual audio editing in Sampler. When sampling old records you'll often need to use more than just one sample, which won't loop together nicely because of different lengths unless you arrange them in a Drum Rack or similar.

He doesn't want you to have it. He's afraid you'll produce better music than him.

Making sounds sound smoother

Hey!

Apart from EQing off the highs, reducing the noise, adding some subtle chorus / delay / reverb - how do I make my rough samples sound smoother? All this talk about distortion / saturation - but none about going the other way!

Re: Can't fucking loop this thing !!!!!

I like the sound of that! It's been a dream of mine for quite some time now for Live to introduce warping to Simpler / Sampler / Drum Racks, so it can work just like an MPC hence no more of these problems.

Re: Processing Drums - Tips and Tricks

- Pitch up and down the same sample. For example take sample one and pitch it down, then take the same sample in another channel and pitch it up. Try this with already layered samples, by exporting your multi layered samples then reimporting. - Create Stereo Width - Simply pan the different samples...

Re: Can't fucking loop this thing !!!!!

Thanks man! But the problem is more getting the 2nd sample to loop infinitely the way it does the first few seconds..

markmakingmusic dropped some serious knowledge though and I'm gonna study this thing real hard to show you what I mean!

Thanks again..

Re: Making start / end of sample blend in

It's just a small thing but you can clearly hear it's a loop..

Ain't this what crossfading is for?

Re: Making start / end of sample blend in

I'm thinking about adjusting the attack / release and crossfading to make the beginning / end less prominent. Dragging it into arrangement view doesn't give me any of these abilities..

Making start / end of sample blend in

Hi! I found this cool sample that I'm looping in an audio clip. But the beginning and end makes a big dent in the flow - how do I fix this? I can't seem to edit the sample in Sampler so I can play with ADSR and crossfading.. If Slice to MIDI would slice my actual loop instead of only bits and pieces...
