Yeah you can tell people to install stuff there. The Max install will create that folder.

Remember there's no guarantee that a Windows user will have Java installed in the first place.

Yeah you're not going to be able to take advantage of freezing in this kind of situation.

I think you will need to include some manual install steps. One of them might be "Install Java"

ids are SET LOCAL

So you cannot load a device or device preset into another set and have it "carry" its mapping with it. But if you open a Live set with the preset saved in it, then the mapping should be preserved.

No you cannot modify the device width on the fly.

Lots of things are set in stone when the device loads.

You should still be able to have fun with stuff which isn't related to the device or parameters though, like object positions and stuff

MFL can host plugins, so it is possible that someone could build a replacement for an effect rack.Some things could potentially work better than Live's racks, but a lot of things would be really difficult to do.

Gate is easy, just send a "1" into sig~ and on out for as long as you want the gate open.

Pitch is a lot harder, all soundcards are a bit different. So you need to be correcting your output value for pitch based on pitch detection of a reference tone from your oscillator.

Max 5.1.6 does not actually require Live 8.2.1

This is a mistake on our site -Nothing has changed from the last release, Live 8.1.1 is required and Live 8.2.1 is highly recommended.
