Zooming please!!!
I'm not a DJ, have played around with the session view but never used it for a serious project and use Live for recording and for remixing other folks tracks. I tend to do stuff with live instruments - including real drum kits. This opens up a biiiiiig problem with live - it's not very good at handl...

Re: MacBook 1,83 good enough for live and logic?
Sorry, I am sure this has been asked before (but could not find it quickly in the search): Is the small macbook a good platform for live and logic or should i take the 2.0 version (i cannot imagine why I should need the superdrive) how much ram will i need? Live runs very smoothly on my macbook BUT...

i'd love to see it go evn mre mnml  We're talking about visuals really not the actual UI which everyone here likes. The stye is distinctive and you can change the skin under the preference options. Maybe there could be a few more skins - maybe some ones with gradient backgrounds (very in at t...

Re: Vistual design does not equal UI
I think it's a fair point to want the visual design to be more current - after all music is about trends and if many are going to have live on stage it'll be nice for it to have the right outfit. No offence but  i can only hope you're not serious about this statement.. If you are serious; plea...

I think live's the best out there. Simple, clean, minimalistic. You sometimes even forget you're working with it. So nice. adding to my earlier comments - yep I agree ableton has a great interface (although it's a got some flaws if you're using it to arrange audio that I've seen addressed in the wi...

Intel Mac - having to move back to PC :(
This frustrates the hell out of me, My PC laptop has done me three years good service and paid for it's self several times over so, being enticed by apple, I decided to buy a macbook. All in all it's a nice machine, good display, nice touches BUT.... I bought it to run ableton and do the music produ...

Vistual design does not equal UI
I do this stuff for a living so I better make it clear for folks here that designing the user interface is not the same as desiging the user interface visuals. I think it's a fair point to want the visual design to be more current - after all music is about trends and if many are going to have live ...

Re: How about some props for the new website?
I do websites for a living and they've done a very good job at keeping things simple. European design is often much simpler!rbro wrote:I think it's a very nice improvement. Well laid out, simple yet detailed. Nice job boys and girls.......

Asio Input and Output to different devices?
Here's my problem. Using ASIO I'd like to record from my UA-5 usb audio interface and pay back using my PC's sound blaster x-fi card. I can do this if I use Direct X but the latency means playing bass lines becomes difficult. I could just swap over and listen on the UA-5 but the internal sound card ...

I'm betting I'm the only one to add a new live bass line to the track . Nope. I didn't add anything else into mine, than bassdrum and bassline. Other sounds were from the original. Also Miguex's version has a new bassline.[/quote] I actualy meant a 'live' bass line - as in played on a bass guitar. ...

Hi, Can't you have a demo and a regular version installed side by side ? Though, thinking of it, I don't know if it is legal to use the demo on stage. If you find out, let us know ! Not only is it legal but I think Ableton encourage it! I read somewhere that you could create everything in the studi...
