Re: Sound Mangling - Fennesz

Thanks ever so much. I read about his use of Max/MSP and just assumed that was the only realistic way. I guess experimenting with grain delay might be my next step. seriously a good choice, after years tinkering with Reaktor and then crossing over too Max, I realized that most of the time, the effe...

Re: Anyone Else Crashing Constantly Since Today's Update?

Are you actually talking about Live 9.2? Yeah, thogh for me, it's difficult, to know which has caused an issue, but I'm working back with 9.10 because 9.2b just crashed out on me completely. Ableton have just release the official 9.2 patch today, I might give that a go, just in case it's an install...

Re: something different Moat86

Quite a long lead in (My own problem also)track seems to be missing a hook,(lead,Pad or pluck) Quite tireing to listen to because of the huge selection of strange found sounds that stop and start. (I would probably narrow them down to a selction that are different but have simillar timbre as the syn...

Re: Sound Mangling - Fennesz

I looked him up, played Endless Summer, A bit too much for my prefered blend of music V sound design, However I can't hear anything amazing just plenty of effects chained together, some of which are modualted most of which are set to the full wet and then he seems to play with a dry wet/side chain o...

Re: Anyone Else Crashing Constantly Since Today's Update?

I've had issues, Ableton 9.1 keeps saying I have another Re-Wire Application running, (Not true) and crashes.

Tried the Beta 2.1 today for the first time, and that won't open any set's crashes straight away.

Re: Loading project - "not authorized" ?????

Hi - it was the Ambient Guitar in Live project from Ableton Download. Can anyone help? I love the sounds on there with Guitar Rig - it's just what I want for a chilled out project I'm playing with :-) Many thanks.... When ever I'm trying to re-create an effect with Guitar Rig, I tend to find a patc...

Re: VST not found or dissabled despite...

Which plugins? What OS? Native instruments Guitar Rig sometimes, Camel Audio Alchemy once, RP Blue II the biggest problem but of late Predator as well. Blue II keeps showing up with 'Plugin is not recognized' despite set's often being started with it, once I have a few tracks of different stuff goi...

VST not found or dissabled despite...

My set's keep having problems loading vst's despite sometimes actually being present in some set's  I thought this was an isolated case, and tried the usual full re-scans of VST folder and close look at any plugin version incompatibility such as 32bit or 64bit confusion, it seems to have start...

Re: record automation of a thir party plugin in Ableton

Jestermgee is right, but I would add that Absynth is semi modular in it's patch/preset recall, so every time you choose a new patch/preset the configuration it is different. Just a point if your further finding frustration. it's an element of Absynth that's it's only shortcoming from a midi mapping ...

Re: Who is actually happy with the direction Ableton is going?

I've been using Live since about Version 6, I had 4 Le for a trial and loved it so much I upgraded within a month or so of starting out, since those early day's Live has definitely had it's dark months, though in Abletons defence it must have been difficult to separate out the massive amount of poss...

Want a tip, watch the video for this device, watch it until the bitter end.

Re: Latency Issue ***TRIED EVERYTHING AND CAN'T FIX IT***

Ok. So I just got a 2012 Mac Pro, 12 Core 3.06 GHz Processor, and 40 GB of Ram. I am Running an Apogee Symphony and still cant figure why I am getting soooo much latency. I have tried driver compensation, turning down my buffer size... direct monitoring is not desirable for house music and synth st...

Re: Old Laptops. What to do with them?

Soldering iron, plastic modeling resin, screws, aluminium plate (thin) etc. Buy a cheap midi controller and see if you can marry the two together in a hybrid monster, with some clever shoehorning, their must be a way that the base unit of the laptop can sit underneath a keyboad and the sceen can be ...
