Or just use a clip envelope on the volume. Unlinked if needed short, as a dummy clip on a bus if needed as effect. Only drawback is that if you get clicks you have to adjust the envelopes manually (no attack/decay).

I get it synced fine, at a friends pc (different midi interface) i got the same problem as yours. Which interface are you using? Did you try the other way round (mpc as master) as well? Grain delay.
Set Mix to full wet, delay time to 1ms, zero feedback. Now use the pitch control.

If your kick is big don´t use a bass like that in the example. Maybe you can get it to work with eq/sc etc., in my experience it´s better to mix and match accordingly. Small kick - big bassline and vice versa.
