I understand that there is a difference in workflow and hardware integration between MASCHINE and LIVE. Besides workflow and hardware integration, what can MASCHINE do that LIVE cannot? Record parameter automation in loops, real-time. Undo your recorded loops. Or delete parts of your recorded loops...

Live's reverb is great for dub style production.

Off the top of my head:

1. Session View

2. Easy resampling that I can drag and drop into Sampler/Simpler.

3. Racks.

To be fair, Live can do a lot that neither Maschine, Reaper, and Renoise cannot do as well.

Just a bump to say that Sampler was the best investment I made in live besides Live itself.

Reaper has a lot of good ideas I would love to see implemented in Live: 1. Route any signal / any track to any other signal / track. Route audio signals to midi events, vice versa. 2. I've done a similar setup with GURU and that is where you would change it. My suggestion is to rebuild the rack from scratch in another track.

I use whatever-glitch-plugin AND I make manual edits.

No need to choose one OVER the other when BOTH options are available.

Filter delay

1. turn off center L/R channel

2. Turn off filters on L and R channels

3. Turn L and R channel to time mode, use very short time.

4. Turn off feedback.

5. 100% wet

You can not freeze flatten any track which routes audio, either from track-to-track or within a track itself.
