Re: I give up, Ableton, I really do. PDC/timing/hardware issues,
hmm i find Ableton to be one of the better DAW's when it comes to external instruments, i must be using it wrong :? I use the External Instrument, i dont monitor direct, and i delay the midiclock(preferences) -"the total sample amount from my audio interface" Live compensates timing issues...

Re: Ableton Push QA
How does the Push communicate with Live? Does it send/receive plain MIDI and show up as a MIDI device on the OS, or does it use some proprietary protocol? The reason I ask, is because Push would be more interesting to me if it can also be used without Ableton Live. Push sends and receives standard ...

Re: This PUSH gizmo
Will Ableton "cheat" by integrating Push with Live in ways they don't document? I really hope they do. why shouldn't they? I am not well versed in their _generic_ API for controllers but i hope they make it tightly integrated and not generic and somehow i wouldn't think the python API is ...

Re: Will Live 9 be 64-bit
Why is the feature I wished for not included in Live 9? We decided to focus on some of the most often wished features in Live 9, such as Session Automation recording, Automation curves, 64-bit support and a better MIDI editor. Some other features couldn't be implemented at this point, but rest assu...

Re: Push sequencer - velocity input?
When you hold a step or steps, a menu comes up on the LCD screen where you can nudge forward or backwards in time, change the length or velocity of a step. Also, you can hold a step and press "Accent" to make that step full velocity. edit: and we have a few different shades of blue to rep...

Re: Live 9 Pricing
I Think when you advetise a price, atleast within the EU, you have to sell the product at the advetised price. Unless it is a clear mistake on the sellers part ( not in this case ). So write support an demand the goods for the previous price...

Re: Are dedicated track EQ knobs dead?
Looks like the blue part of the panel is a per channel control of pan, gate, compressor and...EQ. but dedicated no.
I think i would prefer this workflow actually with access to more controls per channel
