Very good point, will keep this in mind. I purchase the LS8 for a project demand, but will do the trick next time.

Just got the Live Suite 8, I hope update to 9 is free for purchase made from mid 2010 or bellow. They used to provide such upgrade path.

There's a new Live pack included in the MaxMSP beta 5.1.8 installer. Manuel Poletti has written a bunch of new API devices and tools, which leverage the new features in this version. Very interesting! I'm thinking to get into M4L and this is the type of treatment that I really love to see. Mind to ...

imho, for newbie it may not be as easy as cakewalk, but the result can be more creative with more spontaneous workflow even for beginner. One thing for sure, it can grow as the user grow.

That was also the time when I left Cakewalk. But the new version got me thinking, to get the X1 in addition to Live, unless Live 9 covers the need.
