Re: Curious long midi note when recording
Comforting to know I'm not the only one with this problem. I have only just installed 8.1.5 so haven't checked if it's fixed. Am, however, not holding my breath since it wasn't mentioned in the changelog.

Curious long midi note when recording
I did a search but couldn't find a match, so here goes: When I record midi notes (a riff/drums/synth line) in a looped clip I run into a strange bug: any note that is still active/not released when the looppoint arrives... turns into a ONE HUGE note, overwriting any notes in that key I played before...

Re: 8.1.3 Release Notes/Bug Fixes
Just chiming in to say thanks for the swift repsonse to our complaints about the changelogs and the changelog itself. Looks like a worthwhile update.

Re: 8.1.3 Release Notes/Bug Fixes
Well, in all fairness you can test your current setup without having to save newer versions of your projects. True, but why would I need to do this whilst completely in the dark on the changes to the software? I might even skip a version if the changelogs turn out to be trivial. I *always* keep a b...

Re: 8.1.3 Release Notes/Bug Fixes
I don't get this approach to not releasing changelogs at all . You are basically asking users to install a new version WITHOUT ANY backwards compatibility with regards to set fileformats... and just take your word for it that it's better or even safe to do so? You must be the only company with such ...

Re: Howcan I reduce distortions on my tracks?
Maybe the warp marker is near the peak (of the incoming bass drum for instance) ? Try looping a part that definitely pops and adjust the markers either to just before the peak or *on* the peak (if it doesn't sound wonky) to see if it goes away. Since you mention it goes in and out, maybe there are p...

"1.6ghz dual core"
What is the precise processor spec? Is it a Core 2 Duo or an older dual core cpu? Could be that it's not quit up to the task?

Re: External Sync - Wobbly Tempo. . . ?!?!
Just came across this thing:
http://users.telenet.be/darffader/rv0/
If Ableton is unwilling (or unable) fix it, we have to try alternatives. Just annoyed it wasn't here before version 7.

Re: External Sync - Wobbly Tempo. . . ?!?!
I effing swore I'd not do it, but I rewired my setup so that Ableton can be master. The 707 is out of the loop, my TB-303 is connected to the DINSYNC-jack on my trusty Syntecno Teebee. The Teebee gets the clock signal and starts the 303 when I press SPACE in Ableton. However, the Syntecno requires M...

Re: External Sync - Wobbly Tempo. . . ?!?!
Venting for a moment... I'm getting so DAMNED frustrated by Live. I'm on 8.0.8, my TR-707 is the master, it also kickstarts my 303 for a tight sync but the BPM swaggers ALL OVER THE PLACE. I'm looking at it now: 126 BPM on the 707 and Live shifts the BPM from 123.38 to 125.77 (not even reaching 126!...

Re: External Sync - Wobbly Tempo. . . ?!?!
Hey triss, any luck with that last suggestion? I wrote Ableton support on August 26th with my latest findings (amongst other things that Live 6 that is still on my system is rock solid on the bpm, same setup, same drivers). They don't reply at all so that's either a) they're working on it or b) they...

High cpu even with no play
Hi, Live 8.0.4... a basic set with some samples, some Impulse drums, a 303 fed from an external source and a string synth. This gives 18 percent cpu usage even when it's not playing. 8O When I activate EXT (I use an external 707 as clock) the cpu goes to 38 percent (not playing yet) and then when I ...

Annoying bug triggering Live 8 externally
Hi, I use a TR-707 as an external clock to trigger both my pc with Live 8 and my TB-303. The 707 is a great 'transition device' because it has both MIDI and DIN/SYNC. Anyhoo... In Live 7 this was no problem: select EXT, you're good to go. Now with Live 8 (same setup, same settings) just clicking EXT...
