Re: Annoying pitch

Stromkraft, can you please try this: - use session view. - play that clip (the one from the image above). - now hit stop at 1.4.3 (where pitch bend is active) not at the end of the clip! - hit play again to start that clip from 1.1. what happens? @sporkles: Why is it a misnomer to call it a bug? Wit...

Re: Annoying pitch

Hi Stromkraft Thanks for that info! I will take it in my toolbox :) Last thing i hear about was that there is even a change org petition going on to move Ableton to react. - did not help. First thing i tried with L10b, still not fixed. Bug Report reaction was just a verification that this is a long ...

Re: Mastering backing tracks for live performace

I would probably use a little less to make it easier to blend in the live stuff you're going to play. Using too much compression or limiting on backing tracks makes it a little hard to fit the other instruments into the mix without them being too loud or not heard at all. Personally, when I play li...

The beginners focus on BASS is very similar to sweet wine.
The first-timer loves it, the expert knows what gives you headache.

Re: Ableton Live 10 - whats your favourite new features?

Been playing with the Wavetable synth this weekend. I wasn't at all bothered about it before because I spent the 90s with wavetable synths and wasn't excited by them. Of course I also bought a bunch of Waldorf soft wavetable synths throught the years but they all still sounded like the 90s to me. G...

Love to hear that.

Re: Major Bummer: Listen to what you see in Sampler?

If you distribute them to specific velocity ranges, then of course you need to hit the right velocity to hear the right sample... You could instead distribute to key ranges for editing purpose, and then distribute to velocities. I have 30 samples equally distributed over the whole key range. There ...

This was the exact argument against the criminal justice bill in the uk back in whenever years that was, thanks for the reminder to fight the bullshit.. Beatmaking is idiot speak for making music or reverse: calling endless repeats of audio loops music is a definition for idiot. *S. Really? T...

And even if you do so, what about random sample select/round robin, etc?

Major Bummer: Listen to what you see in Sampler?

- Open Sampler - Drop in 50+ Samples - Select all - Select Distribute Ranges equally for velocity Now try to edit some of your Samples. - You can select them comfortably - You can replace/edit/reverse... what ever you want. - Waveform, zoom, everything... But you can not hear what you did! You need ...

Yepp.
We have the choice.
Pick two out of three:
- fix the string
- rethink your style
- see how far you get with only one string left

Re: Ableton Live 10 - whats your favourite new features?

Personally mine crashes on 3 out of 4 starts (when a Max device is present in the default). And I've had crashes and even BSODs on save or close That will not be a common experience to all users, I equally can't derive an absolute from that, my experience is just one data point. But I can say it's ...

Or am I missing your point? If you are familiar with development, you shure know the risk you take with every decision. And it maximizes when your Project has the ambition to perform rock solid in Live-Situations Restarting your Notebook in front of 20.000 People is another story than in your Studi...

It´s a sad sign of time that for many users this is considered to be self evident.
I had not a single crash during the whole beta phase.
Today, the risk of a broken string onstage is higher than a crash with Ableton.
Think about it for a while...
