Using program changes to call scenes
another issue i'm having(now that i totally abandonned the pitch change thing for now) what i need to do is have live change scene according to the program change sent when i change pattern on the esx, i thought it would be trivial, but it happens to be more trouble than moving the whole set in live...

Re: leds on the APC
What Will happen Will be That ill have 8 8 bars midi clip running alongside each scene Since having clips matchng the position whitin the red rectangle is pretty impossible I'll make them flash the stop button green on every beat and have them go steady or like 1/16th flash o the 2 last bars Another...

Re: Patch Change Events on Live
really interested in this as i want the pattern program change from my electribe to call the scenes in live, tried with midipipe and midiconvert3 and none of them seem to output correct data for live to change scene, it either sees a pitchbend (unaltered)(which is RIDICULOUS, why in the name of dog ...

Re: APC 40 Red Selection Box Question
so there is no provision anywhere in teh MIDI scripting to move that box other than the arrows/overview?
i find it pretty hard to believe, what if one were to hach the parameters the arrow send and map them to say master fader for x and cue knob for y axis?

Re: Really? APC20 accesses 125 scenes only?
just a lowly MBP 1st gen, as it doesnt make any sound nor fx (well 2 compressors on sampler tracks) it plays drums on 2 electribes and 5 external synths (mks50 tx81z, nord micro, dx200 and a v256) so it's not really taxing on the CPU but it makes for a damns huge liveset(long more than wide) think i...

Re: APC20 : having the Record Arm row always in shift mode
this is brillant, so i guess i can also be done to have the track select permanently on instead of the transport an other functions? (and use shift for play rec, and arrows, as in a live situation, i'll never ever have to press stop/record, but quickly selecting a track happens pretty often (like fo...

Re:
You can continue to use the arrow keys to move past 125 scenes, sequentially or by bank, you just won't have the zoom-out banking selection beyond that. We argued long and hard over how to address this, and went for the way that makes the most intuitive sense: 64 tracks by 125 scenes. With Max for ...

Re: APC 40 Red Selection Box Question
on a related topic, is there a way to move the box with the mouse instead of being limited by the lame 125 scenes issue the apc are suffering (or just a tiny less lame 512 scenes of the launchpad)
that will make or break the deal for me

Re: Really? APC20 accesses 125 scenes only?
is this limitation real, cause its a deal breaker, i will go and get a refund on my deposit right away if it is, i have over 750 scenes im my live session set (only 24 tracks but way over 125 scenes, why this small number, it's ridiculous, my electribe has 256 patterns and it dates from 2001 the way...

Re: split incoming mididata
if you really want to filter notes midipipe should do it, but i dont understand why you would want to MIDI map while playing, that's best done before the gig with the tribe stopped so there is no notes flying all around

Re: Some Midi Control Help For Mac Electribe Users!
really nice, i was doing it but i overlooked the fill byte, now my ESX can control all live AND i can make automation enveloppes in live and use the ESX as a sound module, finally letting go the worst step sequencer in history (So sad there is only 2 velocity cause it makes a great drum module)
