Re: Maschine Vs. APC40 - Where's The Beef???

Be concerned about Native Instruments packing up shop. Very concerned about the stability of the company.

Re: Native Instruments discontinues Kore

NI make horrible business decisions, I love their software, but the gut feeling is that things are only going to get worse now that the founder of NI and man behind Reaktor is no longer in charge of the company at all. :| Amen, brother. Love the software, HATE the twats that make the decisions. At ...

Re: Native Instruments discontinues Kore

- Kore will no doubt have problems with the next version of somebodies DAW, Live 9 for instance could constantly crash with Kore, with no possible way to fix it. This is something that hasn't really been talked about too much, but let's all think about it for a second. This is a real possibility, a...

Re: Please give me feedback on this work in progress

Love what you're doing here, nice combination of the acidy bassline and the amazingly smooth pads. That stereo is mind-altering. It's impossible to talk about the mix on these headphones, but if you had a gun to my head, I'd say try some different emphasis at different points as far as levels. But t...

Lack of stability is a deal breaker for me.
Yup.

64-bit is a huge pain in the ass, and will continue to be so until everything is 64-bit.

Give me stability with Live or give me Reason+Record.

Re: Live process refuses to quit - please fix this!

Hey All, Well, it's been a long, stupid road, and I thank the Abes for trying to point me in the right direction. I did update all of my drivers, so I can't say that didn't solve part of the problem. Thanks for the suggestion, I should have thought of that. At the end of the day, I've got what seems...

Re: Live process refuses to quit - please fix this!

Hmm, OK, well a combination of latest drivers, rebooting, and only enabling certain devices has led to a very, very cool session. I'm not out of the woods yet, but at least it's a start. FWIW, I'm only using my Oxygen 8 v2. I'll keep enabling devices until something breaks, I guess. It would really ...

Re: Live process refuses to quit - please fix this!

I just uninstalled, reinstalled the latest drivers, and it looked promising, but after a few times starting and stopping Live, the process is once again hanging.

How sad. I really thought that might have done it.

Please, I'm all ears for other suggestions.

Live process refuses to quit - please fix this!

Hi All, I'm running Windows XP SP3, an Echo Audio Audiofire 8, and the latest version of Live (8.2.1 at the time of this writing). I have this problem on pretty much *every* version of Live I've tried to run, including version 7. I know this problem has been reported several times, and a fix has not...

Re: How solid is Live8 for you?

I contacted support last night about some issues I was having. They wrote me back this morning. I'm working with support to (hopefully) fix the one main issue I'm having with 1.1.2 b5 and my MIDISport. Honestly, everything else seems to be working pretty well at this point, so fingers crossed. I thi...

Re: How solid is Live8 for you?

I have to say that the new betas (1.2 b4 and b5) are pretty stable. There seems to be a bug with 1.2b5 that doesn't allow you to MIDI-learn by clicking on a button or dial of a VST as it instructs you to do, but I have to report that yet. I'm optimistic for the future! If this keeps up, Live 8.1.2 c...

all new product development is on hold until the situation laid out in the 'Quality' thread at the top of the forum are addressed. they put it out there, it didn't work as well as they had hoped, they went back to the drawing board. there were grumblings that they were going to make a service you'd...

Re: How solid is Live8 for you?

I hate to say it, but I'm really disappointed in Live 8 so far. And I just bought a new computer in October 2009. Live 8 crashes all the time, when I close the program I always have to go into Windows task manager to kill the process. FWIW, I've been using live since version 6, all Native Instrument...
