MacPro DUal 3 Ghz / 3GB RAM / 500 GB HD for recording / 500 GB HD for sample libraries. Apogee Symphony card, Rosetta 800, Big Ben.

Should I use:
UAD cards and /or TC Powercore for plugs to ease cpu tasks for Kontakt/BFD/Stylus?

Any other suggestions?

Hi Krisstoff, the topic comes up in regular intervalls, and this is why some folks react a bit harsh to it. People here on the forum did a lot of tests and as a result allways came to the conclusion that nothing is wrong with Live. However, as a reaction to those threads we also did internal tests ...

For now I'm just going to run 2 drives. One for audio only, the other for Kontakt libraries.

Maybe try a RAID later on.

currently i have only one additional internal drive.
I was thinking that maybe setting up a RAID with another drvie will help overall performance. my sessions are typically many Kontact samples, waves SSL plugs
and audio tracks.

anybody have experiences to share?
