help with organising sound sets (maybe rewire)
one draw back i have is looking for sounds from various synths. I'd like to choose a sound regardless of what synth is making it. My thought is to buy reason or logic express and rewired them as slaves cause they have a nice sound set organised in categories (basses, pads, etc) regardless of what sy...

Im not sure theres that much loyality in it really - they just sell what customers want ... which is just plain sales at the end of the day. They obviously have a great product and are very enthusiastic about it which cant be said for all companies that's for sure. I would think them more loyal if ...

Ableton is loyal to its customers
Regardless of my complaints / struggle from time to time, i think ableton is very loyal to its customers. Especially when compared to other music app software companies which either do not offer good support / bug fixing or even an upgrade path to new versions, with recent announcements i can see th...

Guru is cool, although once Live 8 hits it'll be mostly redundant for me. I mostly like Guru for it's grooves and stuff. It's interface is a bit fiddly for my tastes. Drum Racks + Grooves + Session view is probably superior for drum programming. drum racks is cool, but i'm a bit skeptical about the...

step sequencer question
for beats my ideal combination of a stepseqencer is the functionality of logic's Ultrabeat with the sound shaping capabilities of Battery 3. After seeing video demo's of Ultrabeat i was impressed, how you can make a number of beats/variations, jamm around with the keys on your keyboard, easily edit ...

Yep, space is the issue. I thought of replacing the internal HD but 1) i don't want to install os - apps with updates again 2) don't want to go through step 1 every time i need more storage. Ok, applications may stay on the HD of the macbook, but my libraries (audio, video) could be on external stor...
