If its quality pads you're after, the Korg beats the Akai hands down.

If you're looking for extra bits - faders etc, the Akai wins, but the pads are a let down (mis-hits, dont work on the corners etc)

I have a Korg, a mate has a mpd32. I'm happy with the Korg. He's happy with his mpd32

Operator > Sine wave > Saturation / Distortion

All the weight with added character.

do not buy a mpd 18 or a mpk keyboard if you want drumpads. the pads on these controllers are total crap. i guess the mpd 32 should be way better. I had a mpk49 - pads were crap A friend has a mpd32 - pads dont work on the corners The padkontrol pads work really well, but not enough knobs / no faders

Just highlight everything you want effected by the groove (all clips)

Make sure there is a groove in the Groove Pool

then in the Clip section, select which groove you want to use
