What are people using to convert wav to mp3? I used to use LAME but can't find it anymore since I changed computers?
Obviously it has to be a free and legal lol download.
cheers.

James - I guess you missed out on that Ebay copy of Live too, then :D Yes, Operator is included - wasn't expecting that, so it's a nice surprise. I almost, almost ordered from the Ableton shop but I am so glad I didn't: I've ended up with Live and Operator for £199! I said earlier that the EIC2 was...

I ordered the Live Lite to Live 7 upgrade from Dolphin Music for £199 yesterday and it came today. It is fully boxed with printed manual AND it comes with the EIC2 library, which I wasn't expecting. Can't wait to get home, install and be a paid up user of the full version of Live! Think I will do t...

I just want 7 tightened up. been recording today, and even when I dumb it down to 48kHz sample rate Live is sluggish, no crashes at least, but of all the software I use Live is definitely the most fragile and sluggish. most any other program I can minimize, multi-task and use pretty smoothly, Live ...

I see you are interested in Beatnik's sale of Live 7 as well as me - could be a forum bidding war :D Hahaha well spotted mate. I agree with your comments on the software although I'm not that fussed about session view, it's a cool-to-have but not a need-to-have like 128 parameter limits etc. for me...

Have spoken to Digital Village. They say that after 30th June the price should have gone up. However, to clear their stock of Live Lite upgrades they are contnuing to offer them at £199. James - you realise that until I posted this message, we had exactly the same number of posts; and we are both l...

I am intrigued by this as I was about to upgrade from Lite to Full this month, and the Operator deal seemed another reason to get on and do it. Then I saw the same item as on the Dolphin Music site advertised at Digital Village: http://www.dv247.com/invt/51627/ I like the demo of Operator I've trie...

Yeah makes sense actually. The retailer buys in bulk off ableton at a reduced rate and can then afford to discount.jonny72 wrote:Ableton sell at their RRP (or suggested selling price) whilst music retailers discount.
Its the same with all music software (probably all software in fact).
Thanks for your reply.

I really want to buy Live, I really do but I just can't justify it if this feature is not implemented. As yet another potential buyer I am considering either Live or Logic with a preference to Logic. What would you guys recommend? How stable has live got to at this point? So another petition signed ...

Ableton upgrading price very expensive
Having yet to upgrade from lite to full version I was tempted by the free operator deal at 299Euros. However from either www.dolphinmusic.co.uk or digital village, the upgrade costs only £199.99 and that's the box version! 299Euros = ~£240 Ableton explain your pricing or can anyone on here shed any ...

I guess what I am trying to get at is, I am definitely going to buy ableton at some point. I just wanted to see if people were observing trends with their pricing so I could have confidence that I was getting a good deal. I'm very tempted to wait for 8 due to the 128 parameters thing but then again,...
