Wow, this rocks... I was thinking of selling my moogerfoogers because I wasn't using them anymore, since I'm working mainly inside the mac these days. But this wants me to take them out again... Great stuff!

Get into Photoshopbattles / Photoshoptennis! You'll learn it in notime! There are too many tutorialsites to choose from. Everytime you want to do something specific just google for it. Nice sites are (or used to be): http://www.graphic-forums.com/ (check the battle grid) and http://www.worth1000.com...

Re: Finetuning song - Nosh (easy listening, electronica)
Hey Neil, Thanks for the very solid advice. This is valuable feedback I could really use. I'm still in the learning process of mixing, but I'm getting there slowly. I will be trying all the things you mentioned! Yesterday a friend of mine told me exactly the same about the Bass line sounding too unn...

Re: choose what type of music you make, or just make it
A lot of true stuff has been said in this thread...
My environment does have a big influence on me for creating music.
That's the problem with being creative and open-minded (which most producers are). But that's also what makes you create original stuff!

Re: Finetuning song - Nosh (easy listening, electronica)
Hey Tlennon, Thanks for the feedback! I think you have a good point there... I do have difficulties creating "freely" in Ableton. I used to sing and play guitar in bands, and that is something I miss when creating computer based music. I'll take your advice and make sure the next song will...

Finetuning song - Nosh (easy listening, electronica)
Hey,
just working on a new song called Nosh.
I Could use some feedback:
http://www.myspace.com/randyvandenberg
For the Cello sound I used Tension, but I'm not quite convinced myself.
Also I noticed I'm missing some punch in the kick. Any tips here?
Thanks,
UnCL0NED

Re: a dubtep track (very trippy)
Nice track...
The first hit loses some power, because of the synth opening up just after the hit. And also on my speakers the hi hats sound a bit too loud compaired to the rest of the track.
But again, I think it's a very nice track. Well chosen synthsounds!
Keep 'm coming!

No, I think he means this one:
I love the Ohmforce stuff! Use it all the time myself.
But Ohmboyz is not particulary cheap for a delay plugin.

Re: Roland space echo nearest free plug in
erm... he was asking for an (space) echo. not a delay. really not the same thing. this space echo has a built in reverb. which you can recognize in a lot of dub tunes... I realize that Space Echo is not the same as a Delay... I was just mentioning this tutorial to show how to get that dubby vibe, c...

Re: Roland space echo nearest free plug in
If you're just in it for the Dubby delays... You can get very nice results with the standard effects in Live.

Hey sunaivod, had een poging gewaagd aan de "Lasagna" remix, maar was niet tevreden met het resultaat. Vandaar dat ik nooit meer wat terug gepost had. Ben niet weggelegd voor het remixen blijkbaar!

Re: Why Upgrading to Live 8 is a Waste of Money
I only started reading your articles after I read in this thread that you made a comparison with Adobe, which made me very curious how you would compare this. Please don’t compare Ableton Live with Adobe Photoshop! And if you do, please do it correct. About presets you say: “They show a professional...
