I guess that if you get the suite you probably don't need reason, but the combination of the two is really powerful indeed, for drum programming for example, or for sound design, having both gives you a lot of different options... i like live's sleek simplicity though, so you don't waste much time (...

i dunno man, some tracks i try to play as much as possible (usually if it has a cool vocal) while others i just loop various sections and i'm out... if the song is 8 minutes long i doubt that i'll leave it for that long, it will have to be my killer track in order for me to do so...
